There was a 17.3% decrease in fatalities and severe injuries on the region’s roadways from 2022 to 2023. However, this is still a 60.5% increase in fatalities and severe injuries on the region’s roadways from 2014, when the region experienced its lowest levels of roadway fatalities and severe injuries. This shows how important it is for the region’s governments to pursue Vision Zero strategies. Fortunately, the region continues to do better than it did 20 years ago in terms of public transit safety, when fatalities and severe injuries began to decline. Explore transportation safety data in today’s #TrackingTuesday: https://lnkd.in/eJFsnY56
