Congratulations to Tri County Housing on their Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh Affordable Housing Program award for the N. 4th Street City of Harrisburg Home Ownership project. This project received the only FHLB award in the entire Central Pennsylvania region.    Tri County Housing’s press release shares that the N 4th Street project will consist of “Five affordable townhomes built on vacant lots acquired from the Harrisburg Redevelopment Authority in the 2100 block of North 4th Street. The three-bedroom, one-and-a-half bath townhomes will be available for purchase for eligible low- to moderate-income homeowners with a Veterans preference, replicating the successful Hummel Street Project in the city. “ Tri County Housing will use this award along with funding from PHFA PHARE, DCED Keystone Communities and NAP to begin construction on this much needed affordable housing project in Spring of 2025. Tri County Housing partnered with Delta Development Group to secure funding for the N. 4th Street Project. The FHLB award is the first the Federal Home Loan Bank funding program award for both Delta and Tri County Housing. Greene County is 1 of 33 national applicants to receive a FY 24 Federal Bureau of Justice Adult Treatment Court Program Funding award. Greene County was awarded $750,000 in federal BJA funds (Adult Drug Treatment Court Program) to support the Greene County Adult Drug Treatment Court Enhancement Project.   Greene County's proposal, the Greene County Adult Drug Treatment Court (ADTC) Enhancement Project, aims to empower the ADTC with the necessary resources to enhance capacity, expand services, and widen access to evidence-based recovery treatment services for participants in Greene County. The project encompasses various activities, including hiring a full-time Drug Court Case Manager, introducing a driving under the influence specific track, ensuring compliance with best practice standards, incorporating Risk and Needs Assessment Triage (RANT PLUS) for better risk assessment, providing support for critical treatment services, enhancing access to recovery support and necessities, and offering increased peer support through Certified Recovery Specialists. Expected outcomes include increased operational capacity, enhanced operations consistent with both the national All Rise Adult Drug Court Best Practice Standards and local best practice standards for hybrid Adult Drug Treatment Courts that offer a driving under the influence specific track, guaranteeing program integrity, participant compliance, and reduced stigma of recovery by implementing evidence-based practices aligned with best standards, ensuring accurate and accountable progress monitoring, and providing essential resources to expand access to evidence-based recovery treatment services and peer support, aiming to achieve long-term recovery, decrease recidivism, and prevent overdose deaths.

Congratulations to the Western Reserve Transit Authority (WRTA) on their $1.3M U.S. DOT Federal Transit Administration Bus and Bus Facilities Funding Award. These funds will be used to prepare for a transition to an all-electric bus fleet by upgrading WRTA’s bus barn facility to support electric bus chargers, equipping it with solar panels, and upgrading the fire suppression system.
