AI came to our rescue - the pictures show the result! Despite our human intelligence glitch of forgetting to take one collective photo for our LinkedIn post, we utilised available AI tools to mitigate the damage. We recently welcomed SmartLearning’s Director Tue Bjerl Nielsen to Kuala Lumpur to exchange views on digital learning and AI in higher education at Taylor's University. SmartLearning is a digital resource center owned by eight Danish universities of applied sciences. As a publicly funded, non-profit organisation, their mission is to advance digital learning and support the Danish universities in adapting to the emerging digital and AI landscape. Photo credit is given to our Counsellor on Food and Agriculture Kristian Nørfelt Lund. After all, digitalisation and AI goes across all sectors.

Hold your horses - or in this case safety glasses and helmets! 216,000 cans flew before our eyes while celebrating the inauguration of Carlsberg Malaysia’s Brewery Transformation. As guest of honour, our Ambassador, H.E. Kirstine Vangkilde Berner had the pleasure of officially opening Carlsberg’s new state-of-the-art brewery facility, alongside Deputy Minister for Investment, Trade and Industry, YB Chin Tong Liew and Managing Director for Carlsberg Malaysia, Stefano Clini. Carlsberg Group has been present in Malaysia for 55 years and opened their first brewery here back in 1971. The new transformed brewery reduces Carlsberg’s environmental footprint significantly. With their ambitious “Together Towards Zero” target, Carlsberg is also a big contributor to green transition in Malaysia. Skål - for the new brewery and for shared ambitions towards a greener and more sustainable future! 🍻

It is time to meet the latest addition to the Embassy team! Kristian Nørfelt Lund recently joined Denmark in Malaysia and comes with many years of consulting experience within food and agriculture. Malaysia holds a lot of potential when it comes to the agro-food scene - from ambitious targets on increasing productivity via smart farming technologies, reducing food waste by upcycling side streams, to promoting nutritutional and healthy food consumption. To sum up, there is a great potential for cross-border growth and partnerships! Kristian also came to Malaysia with another mission - to taste his way through the entire food scene in KL and beyond. All part of his extensive market research task. Until now, his favourite seems to be nasi minyak with all topics available just in front of our Embassy building. Danish companies within food and agriculture interested in doing business in Malaysia can contact Kristian on krislu@um.dk.
