📢 Exciting News!
I’m delighted to share that our research paper, which we presented this June, is now officially published and available online! You can explore it here: https://lnkd.in/dJV4AUka
This paper delves into the utilize of fast frequency response (FFR) schemes for reducing curtailments within a low inertia power systems, a crucial step toward enhancing grid stability and integrating renewable energy sources. Then, the impact of FFR on the Nadir and its ability to alleviate RES curtailment problems it analyses. The low-inertia, islanded, Cyprus dynamic model is used to quantify the results and showcase the impact on a real system.
This work is the result of incredible teamwork, and I’d like to express my deepest gratitude to co-authors, Petros Aristidou, Antonis Lazari, and Vrahimis Koutsolouka for their invaluable contributions, insights, and collaboration throughout this journey.
A special thanks also goes to the Cyprus TSO for providing the dynamic model.
Looking forward to your thoughts and feedback on this work as we continue pushing the boundaries of energy research. Let’s drive innovation together! 🚀
