On October 18, 2023, I made a decision that would change my life. It was a time when I felt disconnected from the path I was on, longing for something more meaningful. That longing led me to Dente. I didn’t know how far this journey would take me, but I knew I had found something worth pursuing. One year later, I can say without hesitation that Dente has been one of the most fulfilling challenges of my life. It hasn’t always been easy, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. The privilege of telling your stories, amplifying voices from every corner of the dental world, and sharing insights that inspire has been a gift I deeply cherish. This issue is special—it’s a celebration of the incredible women who have allowed me to showcase their journeys. This year has been full of growth and lessons, and I’m so grateful for all of you who’ve been a part of this journey. As we step into year two, I plan to take a moment to reflect and refine how we bring you the stories that matter most. Thank you for an incredible year. Here’s to another filled with inspiration, growth, and shared stories. Your Story Matters Editor-In-Chief: Carl Demadema, BOHSc https://lnkd.in/d7fq8d7b

There is no denying that maintaining a balanced diet is crucial for overall health, including oral health. We often hear about the dangers of a diet high in processed foods and overeating, but did you know undereating can also have significant negative effects on your health? Many people, in their pursuit of weight loss, may turn to overly restrictive diets, believing they're doing their bodies a favor. However, cutting back too much can do more harm than good. Insufficient nutrition can not only cause harm to the body, but can also lead to various dental problems, including weakened teeth, gum disease, and bad breath (halitosis). In this article, we will explore how undereating can impact your dental health and what you can do to prevent these issues. By Rhodene Leydekkers https://wix.to/4rAKJjz

In today’s rapidly evolving economic landscape, dental practices and Dental Service Organizations (DSOs) are increasingly turning to fractional labor as a strategic advantage. Imagine fractional workers as the "dating phase" of professional relationships—offering you a glimpse into what could be a long-term partnership, but without the full commitment or cost of marriage. This innovative approach is proving to be a game-changer, allowing practices to access top-tier expertise and resources at a fraction of the traditional expense.
