"They were ridiculous" An incredible testimonial from one of our clients when using AI headshots vs. Denver Headshot Co. We love seeing how AI is pushing people back to the importance of coming across authentic in your photos. Easy and cheap doesn't get you very far. We believe it'll actually pull you backwards. P.S. Why growth oriented service based Brands are updating their headshots - and why you should too. First impressions are often, if not always made online. Brands, especially service based - mid-sized businesses have only a few seconds to capture the attention of potential clients, partners, and employees. Outdated or unprofessional images can convey the wrong message, potentially affecting the credibility and perception of the brand. Here are two primary reasons why maintaining updated headshots makes an impact. 1. Show your audience you're growing and relevant. Industries evolve quickly, and so should the image of your business. A headshot that was taken several years ago may no longer align with the modern, forward-thinking identity that you want to portray. Just as companies refresh their logos, websites, and branding materials to stay up-to-date, headshots should be part of this evolution. When team members have current and professional headshots, it reinforces that the company is engaged, adaptable, and on the cutting edge of its industry. A modern headshot also aligns with the current style and aesthetic trends, making your brand appear visually cohesive and relevant. 2. You want to reflect the growth of your company Updating headshots to showcase the current team not only highlights personal growth but also displays the company’s development. This can be particularly important for businesses that value promoting from within or that have team members who have achieved significant career milestones. A new headshot symbolizes that professional journey, capturing where they are now, which speaks volumes about your company’s investment in its people. Whether it’s a new role, promotion, or skillset, an updated headshot shows that the team is continuously developing. This also helps clients and partners feel confident that they are working with seasoned professionals. 3. Build Trust and Credibility Authenticity is key in today’s business landscape, and trust is built through transparency. Outdated headshots that no longer look like the person in them can feel misleading to clients or partners, potentially impacting trust. When people see a current and authentic photo, they’re more likely to feel a connection, as it presents an honest look at who they’ll be working with. This is especially crucial in fields like consulting, finance, real estate, and other industries where face-to-face interaction is frequent. People appreciate knowing they’re dealing with real, authentic individuals, and a current headshot helps convey that credibility. Marketers, if your people are the face of your brand - maintaining consistency in updating photos is a must. Not only for new hires, but for individuals who haven't had an updated headshot in over a few years. What are your common painpoints in maintaining updated images?

You'd be shocked to realize that people are missing the mark on their headshots, and how headshots affect their personal brand. Our team has photographed tens of thousands of people (truly!) over the years, and most often, we’ve found that people choose photos based on whether they like how they look in them. Liking the way you look in a photo isn't the most important factor in having an image that accurately reflects your personal brand, who you are, and where you're going. Read more... P.S. Top 6 Visual Content Marketing Trends for 2025 We're quite excited to see the predictions of visual content trends in 2025, they involve less noise, more connecting, and more authenticity. We've laid out 6 concepts that have stood out most, but let's just start with 3 words that you need to keep front of mind. Authenticity is non-negotiable. Unless it's designed to be illustrative, people are tired of super polished-fake looking content. If it doesn’t feel real, you'll have a difficult time developing trust. 1. Video has already won Video isn’t just popular—it’s essential. It’s effective at every layer of the funnel. Platforms are favoriting it & customer are too. By 2025, 80% of all online traffic will be video. 😮 Are you ready to own this space? 2. Feel Reel 😉 Quick, direct, and impossible to ignore—short-form content like reels is still the MVP of the winning category. Attention spans aren’t long and short-form isn’t just a trend; it’s a powerhouse. 3. Stories Build Connections People are engaged with stories. We want to know how it went, if we will enjoy the experience, and if we can find success in the journey. Stories create emotional connections that turn audiences into loyal customers. In 2025, people won’t just buy products; they’ll buy experiences, meaning, and connection. This is something I'm most excited about, as a consumer myself. 4. Three Seconds to Stop the Scroll Three seconds, that’s all you’ve got. With faster than ever scrolling, content must be relevant and instantly intriguing to grab attention. 5. Skimmable Content is Essential If your content isn’t skimmable, it won’t get a second glance. If you’re not using captions AND interesting visuals, people will move along. 6. Communities Drive Growth It’s interesting to see ads being in the backseat—people want referrals and recommendations. Communities are where trust takes place. They build loyalty, foster connection, and fuel engagement like nothing else. 2025 is all about creating content that connects, engages, and builds loyalty. Despite the waive of AI, we're thrilled to see what consumers are wanting: More authenticity, more people. What are you all doing to implement real, excellent-but not too pristine, fast, and story based content into your marketing strategies for 2025? Do you know it's important, and not sure how to get your brand there? Reach out, let's talk. #corporatevideo #2025marketingtrends #corporatecontent

Would you be open-minded enough to use a headshot you don’t love if it resonates deeply with your target audience? If the thought of getting a headshot spikes your anxiety, know that almost no one likes the way they look in photos, and the first thing many people tell us upon entering our studio is often "I hate the way I look in photos." Most people's initial goal in their headshot is to make sure they look attractive. We in no way discount the importance of that, but what if most people don't see your image the same way that you do? What if your audience doesn't actually see how thin you look or they see your smile lines as credibility and experience? What if you prefer closed mouth smiles, but it makes you appear unapproachable? Would you be willing to use a photo that resonates with an accurate first impression of yourself, even if you didn't love it? PSST. Our Black Friday Sale is live and we've only got a limited amount of sessions let! Don't miss the opportunity to get an updated photo that aligns with your goals and growth. #headshotmindset #firstimpressions #denverphotographer

This one detail is a game changer for portrait posing. It’s often the small adjustments that take a headshot from good to great. Hand and arm positioning is one of those details that’s easy to overlook—most of the focus is usually on facial expression, right? But it doesn’t stop there. Take this photo comparison: In the second image, our photographer made a subtle adjustment by raising my arm. This simple shift created dynamic leading lines and moved my weight slightly forward, making me look more engaged and approachable. Sometimes, it’s the little things that make all the difference! #PhotographyTips #HeadshotPhotography #PortraitPosing #ProTips

Ready to Refresh Your Personal Brand in 2025? You have 56 days to plan your next move. Here’s a step-by-step roadmap to get started: Step 1️⃣ : Overcome the Fear of Judgment Putting yourself out there comes with judgment—it’s natural. For every few people who may not fully connect, there are likely many more who see the value. Focus on those positives, keep your end goal in mind, and move forward confidently. Step 2️⃣ : Build Your Content Think about what you’re passionate about and what you could coach others on effortlessly. Identify 2-3 areas where you’re an expert, jot down ideas, and organize them using tools like voice-to-text or ChatGPT. Step 3️⃣ : Develop Basic Visuals Pick a color palette that aligns with your message, and use tools like Pinterest and ChatGPT to create a cohesive look. Try customizing these ideas as a prompt to guide your visual style: Describe your style and activities. Share clothing or spaces that inspire you. Express how you want to feel in your content: (e.g., calm, driven, curious, expert). ChatGPT can suggest colors that capture that vibe. Step 4️⃣ : Invest in Quality Photos Your brand’s visuals should capture your personality and message. Work with a branding photographer to create images that truly represent you. Even one or two professional photos can make a big impact. If you can, aim for a set of 10 unique photos to elevate engagement and strengthen recognition. Step 5️⃣ : Stay Consistent Building your brand takes time. Each like or comment means you’re moving forward. Consistency is key, and your efforts will pay off. Looking for a photographer to bring your brand to life? We’re here to help at Denver Headshot Co. Our team specializes in headshots that reflect confidence and authenticity, creating visuals that make an impact on your personal brand and career goals. #Headshots #PersonalBrand #2025Goals

Unpopular Opinion: AI Headshots Are Amazing I recently tried an AI-generated headshot for just $13. If my only goal were to look flawless, to never step into the public eye again, and to present a picture-perfect image—complete with impossibly smooth features and eyes devoid of depth—then yes, I’d say AI headshots are amazing! ...but honestly, we won't deny that AI headshots can be pretty impressive! They have their place—especially if you’re not looking for something that truly represents you. AI headshots can be a great option if you're after something budget-friendly or with a creative, illustrated vibe. #aiheadshot #headshot #denverheadshots
