MA Design was created to design differently. Building on our firm’s foundation of architecture and interior design, MA Design offers 6 specialty services in addition to the 9 different sectors the firm designs for. With each specialty service, operated by a different diversity-led director, the firm is embracing the power of positive change that comes from inclusivity and innovation. We are redefining design by adding more diversity to our services, innovating our sector expertise and changing the way the future is built to include: - Architecture - Interior Design - Experiential Design - Futurism - Sustainability - Productions MA encompasses all of your design needs - in house and all-inclusive. This means no middle-people, and faster results with excellent communication from the first idea to final completion. Working with MA Design means greater outcomes for you by being able to work from ideation to completion with one dedicated, diverse, and driven firm, designed to create a positive impact. Their hard work and passion inspire us and fuel the future of MA Design. ➕ David Prentice >> Project Architect I David’s curiosity and methodical approach to problem-solving make him a valuable asset to both clients and team members. His commitment to learning and collaboration continues to elevate those around him as he grows in his role as a Project Architect. ➕ Jenna Saul >> Interior Designer II Jenna has confidently embraced new sectors and project types this year, showcasing her professionalism, proactivity, and exceptional communication skills. She’s gained valuable experience in design, client presentations, and navigating complex construction administration challenges. ➕ Zach Stewart >> Project Architect I Zach became a licensed architect this year and continues to excel across all project phases, from design to construction administration. His versatility and leadership, especially on projects like Jones Heel Redevelopment, have made him an invaluable resource to the team. ➕ Montel Wells, AIA, NOMA, NCARB >> Project Captain I Montel recently became a licensed architect and serves as President of NOMAColumbus, dedicating his time to advancing opportunities for future architects. He has excelled at developing drawings for multiple residential projects, demonstrating a talent for identifying challenges and delivering effective solutions.

  • Today, we're celebrating another group of exciting promotions at MA Design, recognizing the incredible contributions these team members have made to our projects and culture. ➕ Caroline Kerka >> Project Captain I Caroline as grown tremendously over the last two years as she has assumed a leading role on the off campus student housing project, Blume on 16th. Her contributions have spanned nearly every aspect of the project, and she has skillfully guided our team through critical deadlines with professionalism, poise, and keen insight. ➕ Jena Kessler >> Project Manager I Jena shows remarkable drive and dedication. She has a knack for keeping projects moving forward while striving to achieve the highest standards. These skills and her innate curiosity make project management a natural step for her. ➕ Molly Loos, Assoc. AIA >> Project Captain I Since Molly started at MA, her hard work, dedication to learning, and motivation to get registered is hard to miss. She has wholeheartedly embraced the affordable housing market and has quickly developed an extensive knowledge of it. Her “can-do” attitude is a driving force behind this promotion. ➕ Katherine Martinez >> Interior Designer III Katherine’s drive, organization, and attention to detail set her apart. She consistently impresses clients, demonstrates natural leadership, and approaches every opportunity as a chance to learn and grow. In her new role as Interior Designer III, she will be taking on the new challenge of project management.

Their expertise, dedication, and impact have been instrumental in shaping MA Design’s success and inspiring those around them. Please help us in congratulating: ➕ Kori Baker >> Interior Designer II Kori has eagerly taken on responsibilities beyond her role over the past year, demonstrating a strong commitment to personal and professional growth. She has worked very hard to gain the experience, proactive attitude, and collaboration skills needed to move up and we're excited to watch her continue to develop new skills and grow! ➕ Corey Black >> Project Manager II Corey has demonstrated dedication and produced successful results on multiple projects including taking a strong leadership role on the Truepointe development project as well as multiple residential projects for Metro Development. In addition, he also became a licensed architect this year! ➕ Jeffrey Heffner >> Director - Columbus Operations Jeff's strong leadership as a Studio Lead has been instrumental in successfully uniting multiple studios under his direction this year. A natural problem solver, he tackles scheduling challenges with ease, champions office initiatives, and plays a key role in onboarding and training new team members. We're excited to see how his innovative ideas and great leadership will continue to make a positive impact on our team and office culture! ➕ Michael Jacobsohn >> Sr. Project Manager I Mike is a patient and skilled educator who plays a key role in both leading projects and mentoring our project teams. His ability to showcase our expertise to clients while guiding and supporting colleagues is invaluable.   • This Thursday, don’t miss the chance to hear from two of our own, Montel and Cameron, as they join a panel for AIA Columbus’ Stories of Architects and Designers session at The Center for Architecture and Design. Alongside their fellow board member Tianna, they’ll share the inspiring journey of NOMAColumbus—how a shared vision for creating space for minority architects led to the formation of the 36th NOMA chapter in the nation. From overcoming challenges to building partnerships, Montel, Cameron, and their peers have been instrumental in shaping a more inclusive architectural community in Columbus.
