Mentoring and connecting emerging leaders of the philanthropic community in Chicago and beyond
About us
The Development Leadership Consortium is committed to building an inclusive culture of philanthropy in Chicago. Our mission is to mentor fundraising professionals who are new to the field and to engage them throughout their careers, encouraging their growth into committed, connected leaders of the philanthropic community in Chicago and beyond. We are proud to offer two signature programs aimed at professionals in philanthropy. Our Annual Fellows Program is geared towards professionals in their early and intermediate stages of their career in advancement. Our Management Fellows Program is for advanced professionals and is designed to prepare new generations of non-profit managers to lead their organizations with confidence and knowledge. There are several ways to lead and benefit from leaders in the field through the Development Leadership Consortium (DLC). Whether you would like to become a mentor to young professionals, are looking to broaden your network, or would like to give a leadership gift to support our work, we have many engagement options. Events give us the time and space to network with peers, share best practices, and develop important skills in philanthropy. Events are a key driver of our network and our success.

Excited to see applications open for the Association of Fundraising Professionals Chicago Chapter's Fellows Program! As a proud 2014 Fellow, this program helped lay the foundation for my #fundraising career and connected me with an incredible network of professionals who continue to inspire me. If you're an emerging fundraiser looking for #mentorship, growth, and a strong community, I highly recommend applying. This could be the next big step in your journey!
⏰ The application DEADLINE for the 2024 Fellows Program is Friday, November 1, 2024! The Fellows Program is an outreach initiative of AFP Chicago created to build awareness of educational and #professionalresources. Individuals who have been in the profession for five years or less, including those who have recently transitioned to fundraising from other professions, are encouraged to take advantage of the program's offerings. The Fellows Program strives to identify those participants who might not have access to such opportunities or resources outside the program. 🔗 Apply now: https://bit.ly/3gPFALL
