In the past few years, a day hasn't gone by without at least one researcher or librarian mentioning tight budgets. This was the reality before recent federal budget cuts, and it looks like it will continue to remain so into the future. Academics are resilient. They've always had to maximize their budgets for utility. There is no extra room for fluff. We built Dewey specifically to simplify and streamline data acquisition for research. Let us handle data sourcing, licensing, ingest, storage, provisioning, export, and updates. You can focus on research. It's not just our product that's aligned around this vision; the entire company is. We've launched resources and initiatives to make data acquisition easier, especially for teams with tight budgets. 🚗 Did you know electric vehicles can take up to an hour to fully charge? That's why the location of public charging stations really matters! Charging stations should be conveniently placed near amenities that fit into people's daily routines. Recent research, powered by SafeGraph and Advan Research Corporation data, explores the accessibility of these charging stations for different populations. The findings reveal that while chargers may be physically close to lower-income communities, they’re often out of sync with daily routines. Meanwhile, higher-income areas see better alignment between charging stations and frequented amenities. A must-read paper for a close look at how infrastructure meets (or misses) user needs.
