Did You Know that with over $5.4 trillion in economic activity and over 90% of overseas trade moved through our ports, a cyberattack could cause cascading impacts to both domestic and global supply chains? Through funding from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), S&T worked with Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) to develop a laboratory sized platform and controlled environment that emulates seaport facilities and technologies, providing port operators, controllers, and incident responders the ability to safely simulate cyberattacks, study cyberattack indicators and impacts, and practice countermeasure efforts. This experience can bring to light areas for improvement in their own operational environments and lead to more cyber resilient ports.
