Today, on Gut Microbiome Day, we highlight the incredible impact of #gutmicrobiome -based treatments on health and #weightmanagement. At Digbi Health, we have transformed thousands of lives by integrating gut microbiome data into our personalized health programs. Explore our published research here. Here are some remarkable findings from our studies: 🔹 Significant Weight Loss and Gut Microbiome Changes: Participants in our programs experienced significant weight loss and changes in their gut microbiome composition over six months. Microbial taxa and metabolic pathways associated with weight loss were altered, showcasing the efficacy of our tailored programs (MDPI) (Frontiers). 🔹 #MentalHealth Symptom Reduction: Our digital therapeutics care, informed by genomic SNPs and gut microbiome signatures, has shown a significant reduction in mental health symptoms, further emphasizing the holistic benefits of our programs (MDPI). 🔹 Management of Functional Gastrointestinal Disorders (FGIDs): Our digital therapeutics intervention, personalized using genomic SNPs and gut microbiome signals, effectively reduced FGID symptom severity, including conditions like #IBS, diarrhea, and constipation (Frontiers). 🔹 Reduction in Sugar Metabolism Pathways: We observed reduced sugar metabolism pathways in the gut microbiome, indicating successful modification of gut microbial functions to support weight loss through our dietary interventions (JMIR). 🔹 Improvement in Gut Microbiome Diversity: Our studies have shown increased gut microbiome diversity among participants, a marker of better overall health and effective weight management (Frontiers). 🔹 Identification of Key Microbial Biomarkers: Specific gut microbial taxa, such as Akkermansia spp. and Christensenella spp., were associated with weight loss and lower BMI. These findings highlight the potential of leveraging microbiome data for personalized health strategies (Frontiers). 🔹 Genomic Associations in Weight Loss: Incorporating genomic data into our precision digital care program significantly enhanced weight loss outcomes. Specific SNPs associated with metabolic pathways were linked to greater weight loss, underlining the importance of personalized genetic risk assessments in our interventions (JMIR). https://lnkd.in/gVndTx-p Happy Gut Microbiome Day! 🌱🔬

Thank you, Dr. Lawrence Tabone, for presenting the findings of our pilot study on how Precision Biology can enhance bariatric surgery outcomes at the 2024 Annual Conference of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery This research highlights a critical issue: Half the patients regain 25% or more of their weight after surgery. It is crucial to identify high vs. poor responders. The variability in individual responses to obesity treatments, whether through #foodasmedicine, traditional #obesity drugs, new GLP-1 drugs, or surgery, underscores the need for personalized care.
