What a great opportunity last night at Quinnipiac University College of Arts & Sciences to hear from State Representative Kate C. Farrar and Jennifer Tolman of Dignity Grows, Inc. at the "Dignity in Flow: Confronting Period Poverty" event hosted by Catherine Richards Solomon and the incredible QU Sociology Club members! The room was so full that more chairs had to be brought in, and students helped pack 150 totes with hygiene products to support those in need. We learned about the newly passed menstrual equity law in CT that Rep. Farrar proposed, and the extent of period poverty in the US and CT in particular.
