She practices at the Sonoma County Main Adult Detention Facility, focusing on patients affected by poverty, substance abuse, and incarceration. Dr. Brown's research on drug use patterns' impact on oral health has gained international recognition, making her an expert in substance-use disorder effects. She authored "A State of Decay: Your Dental Guide to Understanding and Treating Meth Mouth" and contributes to the National Institute of Health's Oral Health in America Report. Dr. Brown is affiliated with various dental associations and advocates for the use of Directa USA Products in her practice.
