What a great 2024!! I feel grateful to our customers, partners, vendors, and everyone who had a hand in Direct Cloud Solutions' journey last year. It was a momentous year for DCS. We hosted several events that were not only fun but excellent learning opportunities, we strengthened old relationships, and were fortunate enough to foster new ones. As we get into 2025, we're excited to continue this trajectory of growth. DCS will maintain our relationship-first mentality for our customers, both current and prospective, and look forward to working with our partners for them. Let's make it a great year!!

Great read about the ever-changing security landscape and the new tactics cyber attackers use, particularly by employing companies' existing program specificities, like login credentials, to gain easy access. Especially interesting was what this panel cited as the "most effective defenses against many types of attacks": cyber vegetables. Essentially, the security basics, "such as multi-factor authentication (MFA), patching vulnerabilities, and properly configuring systems, remain the most effective defenses".  Budget is always at top of mind for any company, so it's good to know that one of the fundamentals of cyber security like MFA, which is not costly, can provide such significant protection. 💪

What a night last night! Direct Cloud Solutions was honored to host the August meetup of Technology Leaders of DFW. We had a packed house and the energy was electric which, truth be told, is not always the case with a work event (although DCS does a pretty good job making things fun if I do say so myself 😁). A ton of information was shared by our Cloud Security Panel about the hot topic of cybersecurity, specifically how to protect your cloud data. When thinking about cybersecurity education, we don't typically picture kids being a target audience. But they should be! As noted in this article: “Hackers don't care if a target is a six-year-old, it is just an account to get in... Our students are growing up in a digital age from day one. Even if you're itty bitty, you have a digital footprint, and you need to learn to stay safe and how to protect your data." What better way to effectively teach than through fun games? Such a great idea. 🤓 💡
