🌟 Pays’Âges by Dorian Étienne, a Distributed Design Award winner from 2024 🎉 Pays’Âges reveals the identity of endangered territories from a unique perspective—viewed from above and translated into monumental, three-dimensional tapestries. This collective, local, and itinerant project brings the topography and biodiversity of each region to life through stunning tapestries made entirely from 100% local and natural materials. Each artwork serves as a powerful “state of place” captured during this era of ecological disruption. More than an artwork, Pays’Âges is a participatory experience where locals join Dorian to learn plant-dyeing and tufting, contributing directly to the tapestry’s creation. With his new Smart Citizen Kit, provided by Fab Lab Barcelona, Dorian will have access to environmental data that can enrich his approach to these impactful creations.
