Celebrating an anniversary is always a deeply moving and empowering experience, but having the opportunity to do it from the Aqua Stage at Digital Design Days 2024 was truly extraordinary. On October 8th, we were thrilled to share an open exploration of Ditroit’s 15-year journey, showcasing our work, studio life, case studies, future goals, and the creative challenges we’ve faced along the way. A heartfelt thank you to our amazing team, clients, collaborators, friends, and supporters. Special thanks to Filippo Spiezia and the entire DDD24 crew for their outstanding hospitality throughout the festival.

From October 6th to 8th, the Digital Design Days 2024 Festival in Milan showcased our interactive installation, "Data-Driven Art." It was amazing to see a constant stream of people eagerly lining up to magically transform their brainwaves into vibrant, colorful posters to take home as printed souvenirs. We're incredibly grateful for all the genuine and supportive feedback we received—it means the world to us. We can’t wait to see where this artistic exhibit will go next in the future!

Last Tuesday, October 8th, we celebrated our 15th anniversary on the Aqua Stage at DDD24. What a mind-blowing experience! Thanks to our team, friends and supporters, and Filippo Spiezia for the unforgettable hospitality.

This October, Ditroit is proudly celebrating its 15th anniversary. It's crazy to think that so much time has already passed by, a time long enough for thousands of things to happen and even more to change. This is the perfect moment to reflect and thank the many people who helped contribute to its creation and growth over the years, and who shared obsessions, struggles, and ambitions. A special thanks also goes to the countless collaborators, freelancers, and sound designers who made the studio’s foundation even more robust, especially during the busiest and most chaotic times. Last but not least, thank you to the clients, whose trust has made the studio better and stronger. Join us on October 8th to celebrate together at Viale Abruzzi 28, starting at 7 PM.

Alongside our participation as speakers at Digital Design Days 2024 on October 8th, Ditroit will once again showcase the interactive exhibit "Data-Driven Art" throughout the entire festival. First introduced at Milan Design Week 2024 at the Ditroit Dream Gallery, "Data-Driven Art" is an interactive installation created by Ditroit, where the audience's brain acts as an unconscious generator of unique, one-of-a-kind artworks. The installation is straightforward: a sensor detects and measures the brainwaves of the stimulated participant and transmits the data to a computer. An algorithm processes this input and converts it into code, which is then translated into a consistent visual language through real-time software. This results in graphically distinctive generative art, based on subjective and unrepeatable brainwave patterns. The artwork, generated within about a minute, is printed in large format and given to each participant as a personalized souvenir. This immersive experience will be open to the public at the DDD24 Festival from October 6th to 8th.

A few months ago, we were engaged in creative R&D explorations for a campaign by Swatch. Here is a collection of our experimental efforts, centered on our interpretation of the product set against a deconstructed cityscape. We decided to play around with various techniques, producing a wide range of different yet coherent results: some of our studies achieved a flawless and powerful blend of flat 2D shapes and 3D urban elements; other explorations focused on the transparent materials of the watches, imparting their joyful hues, lightness, and frosty transparencies to the urban setting; further tests leveraged a balanced mix of colorful textures, hyper-detailed imagery, and realistic urban footage to create a unique setting where the playful watches could thrive.
