We are proud to announce that Domani Inspections is providing special inspection services for the highly anticipated expansion of Stevenson Commons, a transformative project set to redefine affordable housing in the Soundview section of The Bronx. Stevenson Commons has long been a cornerstone of the community. Originally completed in the mid-1970s, the mixed-income residential complex currently spans approximately 914,634 square feet of residential area across 948 affordable rental units, complemented by 10,648 square feet of local retail, a 36,214-square-foot health center, and 3.1 acres of private green spaces. With its surface-level parking for 570 vehicles, the complex is both a residential haven and a community hub. Now, the expansion of Stevenson Commons aims to further its legacy by delivering: - 735 new affordable residences, including 621 income-restricted housing units and 114 affordable independent residences for seniors. - Approximately 34,000 square feet of community facilities, enriching the resources available to residents and neighbors. - Around 1.94 acres of publicly accessible open space, fostering greater community interaction and accessibility. - 466 parking spaces, including 206 spaces in below-grade garages and 260 surface-level spaces. The Domani team is proud to announce our involvement in the construction of the new Barbara Kleiman Men’s Shelter! Located at 19 Debevoise Avenue, East Williamsburg, the shelter is set to be part of the larger Kingsland Commons redevelopment. This project, led by Project Renewal, St. Nicks Alliance and The Hudson Companies, Inc. in collaboration with multiple city agencies, is in the process of transforming the former Greenpoint Hospital campus into a mixed-use space with 557 affordable housing units, a senior center, health center, café, and public open areas. The shelter itself is a 200-bed facility housed in the 54,000 square foot Nurse’s Residence, which has been re-designed and renovated in partnership with the New York State Historic Preservation Office. A project of this magnitude calls for a variety of essential inspections.
