About us
At DoorDash, our mission to empower local economies shapes how our team members move quickly and always learn and reiterate to support merchants, Dashers and the communities we serve. We are a technology and logistics company that started with door-to-door delivery, and we are looking for team members who can help us go from a company that is known for delivering food to a company that people turn to for any and all goods. DoorDash is growing rapidly and changing constantly, which gives our team members the opportunity to share their unique perspectives, solve new challenges, and own their careers. Our leaders seek the truth and welcome big, hairy, audacious questions. We are grounded in our company values, and we make intentional decisions that are both logical and display empathy for our range of users—from Dashers to Merchants to Customers.

Earlier this week, we announced relief efforts for local restaurants and Dashers impacted by the devastating Los Angeles wildfires, along with donations to those who’ve been displaced and the first responders on the front lines. To continue our support of this community, we’re also waiving our fees on orders placed in Los Angeles County, and donating $1 for every order placed in the area to World Central Kitchen – up to $1 million total. We are heartbroken for the people of the Los Angeles area who have been so deeply impacted by the devastating and horrific fires. Thousands of people have been evacuated and displaced, and many have lost their homes, businesses, schools, and workplaces. We suspended operations immediately in the impacted areas once the Palisades and Eaton fires broke out on Tuesday, January 7th. We have continued to adjust our operations as the situation evolves, and we will continue to follow local guidance and monitor conditions closely. We’re also taking initial steps to support relief and recovery efforts across the region. Here’s what we’re doing and how people impacted by the fires can get relief: - Providing $150,000 in DoorDash Community Credits to help first responders and organizations on the ground get food and other essentials immediately. - Allocating $150,000 in Disaster Relief Fund grants for restaurants specifically impacted by this event. - Making $250,000 available for Dasher Relief Fund grants specific to the LA wildfires. Burnout has become a hot topic in recent years. It’s now recognized as an official “occupational phenomenon” by the World Health Organization, and companies are beginning to address both the root causes and effects. Burnout can look like apathy, cynicism, a lack of motivation, increased absenteeism, and being mentally or emotionally checked out. To start 2025 off strong and prevent and combat burnout in the workplace, employers can: 🌴 Support flexible schedules that allow for better work-life balance. 🕔 Demonstrate work-life balance from the top down — show how leaders and executives take vacation time and work reasonable hours. 🪷 Create space for rest and recharge in the workplace. 🍽️ Offer health and wellness benefits that reduce stressors, like providing on-site lunch so employees don’t have to lose time preparing or retrieving their own meal. 😋 Improve company culture and strengthen team bonds by catering social events on a recurring basis. Burnout is beatable — learn more ways to protect your employees and help them set healthy work-life boundaries: https://lnkd.in/eyUpYBiA
