Held at the Girl Scouts Heart of California, the event celebrated nominees and winners in three categories: Youth Volunteer of the Year, Individual Volunteer of the Year, and Volunteer Manager of the Year. 🏅 Youth Volunteer of the Year: Riya Janardhan Nominated by WEAVE, Riya is recognized for her advocacy in women's rights, gender equality, and healthcare disparities. A junior in high school, her leadership and dedication have made a significant impact locally and globally. 🏅 Individual Volunteer of the Year: Patricia “Patty” Estopinal Nominated by Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), Patty's 14 years of service have profoundly impacted the youth she supports. Her ability to build trusting relationships and her relentless advocacy make her an exemplary volunteer. 🏅 Volunteer Manager of the Year: Marlene von Friederichs-Fitzwater Nominated by Joshua's House, Marlene's leadership has been instrumental in creating a hospice care facility for homeless patients.
