The E Source Utility Customer Research Consortium (UCRC) is a panel of utility executives from across the US, whose mission is to find opportunities for improvement and innovation in customer service and care. Last week, the UCRC brought its members together for its 20th annual meeting for two days of roundtable discussions, research presentations, and networking. Many thanks to Exelon, JEA, and NorthWestern Energy for participating in our executive strategy panel session where each utility shared wins and lessons from their customer-focused initiatives. And congratulations to the team that made it happen! Great work, Luke, Jeffrey, Ben, Jamie, and Patrick!

When combined with proven industry experience, consulting can be more than words on a PowerPoint justifying an inflated invoice. It can mean real value, delivered in a way that matters by people who know and care about tangible results. That’s exactly what a municipal electric utility overwhelmed by rapid growth and systemic inefficiencies experienced with E Source. Our consulting team helped the utility address compliance, technology adoption, and customer experience, by standardizing processes and implementing a strategy with structured phases to achieve: 🏗️ $60 million increase in CIAC (Contribution in Aid of Construction) revenue 🏗️ 50% reduction in overtime and truck rolls Read more: https://lnkd.in/gUjssf6G

As a substantial part of the risk utilities need to manage constantly, it’s no surprise that vegetation management often makes up 30% of O&M budgets. And since there’s no way utilities can address all of the vegetation risk on their system, it’s critical to build strategies that address the highest priority risk with the right spend. Most intelligent solutions can identify this risk but offer no guidance on what to do about it and utilities need a solution that identifies vegetation risk and supports data-driven decision-making to address it. 📈 E Source GridInform Vegetation Management is purpose-built for utilities and brings AI-powered predictive data science to vegetation management, enhancing traditional cadence-based approaches with evidence-based scenario planning. 🌳 Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gzsBchNU
