Trump is inheriting a strong economy with low unemployment - due in no small part to the 150k clean energy jobs added in '23 alone. "Success for the Trump administration would be to do no harm to the exceptionally performing economy it is inheriting"

“In a survey of nearly 930 business stakeholders [asked about the impact of repealing recent clean energy tax incentives]...more than half (53%) said they would lose business or revenue as a direct result of an IRA repeal and 21% would have to lay off workers.”

Clean energy incentives could be in Congress' crosshairs soon. But the projects they've launched are already creating hundreds of thousands new jobs. Thankfully, "well-paying jobs do enjoy some bipartisan support" w/ 60% of new projects going in GOP-held districts.

California's clean energy industry added jobs 4X faster than the state's overall economy. The sector added over 21K jobs in 2023, bringing the state's total clean energy and clean vehicle workforce to nearly 545K - by far the most in the US. Get the full Clean Jobs California report:

There's no reason why Republicans, Democrats, businesses, environmentalists - and anybody who cares about creating jobs, driving economic growth, making America more competitive against China and other countries - should not want this boom to continue. Now it's up to the Rs who will soon lead in Washington to make sure it does, for their constituents back home. What an amazing day. Visited incredible companies like Waymo and WeaveGrid and Sunrun Solar; hitched a ride in some cool EV buses from GreenPower Motor Company Inc. and the Oakland Unified School District and took a trip on the world’s first hydrogen-powered ferry boat - all while hanging with some great Georgians on a beautiful day in the Bay Area. The clean energy boom has deep roots.   In the wake of the IRA, manufacturing jobs in clean energy have gravitated to America's heartland. States like Nevada, Tennessee, and Arizona are leading in clean energy investment as a percentage of GDP.   Despite shifting political winds, the economic fundamentals driving this transition have taken root across the nation, and have garnered bipartisan support.
