The project includes a 1 million-gallon-per-day (MGD) industrial wastewater treatment facility, pump station, and treatment ponds, as well as over 2 miles of collection piping. The Golden Road / Union Road Roundabout project in Paso Robles has won several awards this year, including most recently, the Engineering Excellence Commendation Award with American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC). Earth Systems partnered with Wallace Group to improve the dangerous intersection. The intersection, once congested, and difficult to navigate, has been transformed into an efficient, sustainable transit corridor. Our team included Rob Down, Sydney Johnson, Aileen Flynn, PE, Jose Zarate, Jesse Bedolla-Rodriguez, Sean Hemmer, and several others who provided essential services. These services included compaction testing for sewer and water line backfill, observation and testing of FDR-C operations, inspection of HMA placement with associated materials testing, and compaction testing for minor concrete and aggregate base areas.
