Want to join our awesome community of social entrepreneurship (SE) researchers--aka SESAW? You are starting a PhD and would like to focus your doctoral studies on SE? SE is not your core area but you always wanted to know the ins and outs of SE research? You are ready for a deep dive into the ever-growing SE literature?
This a unique opportunity is for you!
Next summer 2025, I will be teaching two Social Entrepreneurship Doctoral Seminars offered by IMD:
· July 20-25, 2025 in Copenhagen, preceding the Academy of Management annual meeting (with Elisa Alt). Our local hosts will be Kai Hockerts and Copenhagen Business School.
· August 31-September 5, 2025, on my home turf, at IMD Lausanne.
This one-of-a-kind doctoral seminar provides an in-depth survey of the core concepts and primary literature in the social entrepreneurship domain, as well as guidance for critical thinking and development as a social entrepreneurship scholar, educator, and expert. Since 2010, the seminar has been offered every year (and recently, twice a year!) to an international audience in locations around North America, Europe, and Africa.
The seminar is open to doctoral students and to faculty who would like to pursue social entrepreneurship research and study the domain in greater depth.

At the bottom right of the web page, you will find the list of all SE doctoral seminar alumni. You can also message me. Thanks to those who have already signed up!
Application deadline: FEBRUARY 1, 2025
