Trina and Tegan from EIF's Partner Relations team had a great time at this year's Champaign County Food Summit! Along with our friends at FEEDING OUR KIDS and other local leaders, we discussed food insecurity in our community, the stigma around receiving food assistance, and how we can have impactful collaboration to alleviate hunger. ❤️

After volunteering at EIF and learning more about the challenges hunger provide for local families, she's excited to help raise both awareness and funds. Because of digestive issues when she was young, Kelsie is grateful for the family and friends who helped her figure out what food worked best for her. Liz is a foodie, and loves that she can bring that into her work as Regional Community Liaison for SYNERGY HomeCare through her Heart Healthy cooking classes for seniors. In her work, she sees the impact food insecurity has on local seniors, and is excited to make a difference by raising funds to provide more meals to the community.
