BROMEDIR is excited to share the successful initiation of first lab tests for the prototypes developed as part of the project which include two mid-IR MEMS FTIR spectrometers for liquid sensing and one laser-based MEMS PTS spectrometer for gas sensing. While all project partners are currently focused on parallel progress, further testing of all BROMEDIR technologies and next steps leading to full system validations, it is pleasure to now share some initial news from the FTIR prototype tests for the milk analysis, initiated last week at the premises of our use case partner CRA-W Centre wallon de Recherches agronomiques. 👍
Successful initiation of this lab work stems from the collaborative effort of all technical partners involved with this part of the project, where Neospectra as a spectroscopy development platform by Si-Ware Systems was employed for developing a radically new FTIR spectrometer beyond state-of-the-art, Université Gustave Eiffel (UGE) provided in depth expertise from interferometer structure designs to PIC fabrications, VIGO Photonics and nanoplus Nanosystems and Technologies GmbH delivered the new photodetectors and light sources respectively, SENSEEN involved with the full set-up of the milk analyser, TUW (Vienna University of Technology) apart from developing the technologies for the parallel applications also leads the testing and validations phase and CyRIC | Cyprus Research & Innovation Center Ltd highly engaged with the work on system architecture skeleton and auxiliary subsystems, while overseeing the integrations and in parallel leading the data analytics. 👏 - Congratulations & thank you to all partners!!
The accomplished development of this FTIR prototype version was followed by last week’s meeting of our technical experts from SENSEEN with our milk analysis experts at CRA-W labs. The first round of tests successfully initiated with some early results suggesting this is a great time to stay tuned on BROMEDIR as more exciting updates will be following soon. 🏆
