EdAdvance and the RESC Alliance were spotted at the 2024 CABE/CAPSS Convention. Matt Mervis, Director of Skills21 & AI Strategy, facilitated a workshop titled AI Equity, Literacy, and What’s Next for Connecticut (DEI). Participants were given tools for understanding how to address AI equity, gain insight from practical experiences, and develop a roadmap for future implementation. Attendees also had the opportunity to learn about the RESC Alliance and how we can help districts maximize their resources. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/eKjE_ENP

This week marked the first-ever in-person Learner Engagement and Attendance Program (LEAP) gathering at the Connecticut State Department of Education (CSDE). This event brought together LEAP District Coordinators from 25 districts (Cohorts 1 & 2), representing a diverse group of educational leaders including DEI and SEL Directors, Supervisors of Climate & Culture, Directors of Strategic Development, and more. The program featured sessions on LEAP Logistics & Operations, Data Collection, and an engaging Attendance & Engagement Workshop. Special thanks to Kari Sullivan Custer, CSDE Attendance Consultant and LEAP Director, Dr. Elizabeth Radday, EdAdvance Director of Research & Innovation, and Caroline Calhoun, EdAdvance Professional Learning Specialist & LEAP Coordinator, for leading these insightful discussions! We also had rich discussions and reflections on attendance, engagement best practices, and how we can shift mindsets to better support our students. Thank you to everyone who participated and made this kickoff event a success! #LEAP #AttendanceMatters #EngagementStrategies #CSDE #EdLeaders
