It may be the new year, but we're still thinking about how much fun our team had together at our holiday party this year! Team building opportunities like these always give our team newfound energy to help us help our clients be #bettertodaythanyesterday
The team really enjoys working with their hands at our holiday event every year. Some of us are creative, some are not, some are perfectionists and some just enjoy the experience. I will say our annual tradition of doing something together, sharing small gifts and a meal is something I look forward to every year. And apparently we have gotten in the habit of not telling the "newbies" what to expect and that is part of the fun! Happy holiday season to each of you! Do you ever just have a day when it's just a "good day"? I had one of those days yesterday. I got to have an engaging conversation with a group of CFO's that were focused on trying to help their teams. And then later that day--I got to connect with a local high school and talk to students who were taking a business class. They just had finished their HR unit and I got asked to come in and speak about my experience. I don't really stop to think that sometimes I have something of value that I can share. That reflection time is so valuable and honestly it just feels good to share some knowledge that may help someone else. To be able to have someone learn from mistakes, repeat some of my successes, meet interesting and engaging people really is what makes "working" worth it. Here's to sharing with others something helpful and to be connected to your community!
