On Veterans Day, Edgemoor proudly recognizes the veterans making a difference on our team. Veterans like Frank Baltz and Keith Luu exemplify Edgemoor’s values of dedication, integrity, and purpose, and we’re honored to work alongside them. Frank served as a US Air Force Sergeant, maintaining internal combustion aircraft engines to ensure mission readiness. Today, as a Senior Managing Director, he applies his hands-on problem-solving and leadership skills to developing strategies for mitigating risks and creating financing solutions for Edgemoor's projects. Keith served as a Lieutenant in the Navy’s Civil Engineer Corps, contributing to critical infrastructure that supported military operations and humanitarian efforts worldwide. Today, he brings his mission-oriented perspective and commitment to enhancing communities to Edgemoor, where he is currently leading the delivery of the Garden Grove Civic Center Revitalization Project. Thank you, Frank and Keith, for your service, and to all veterans for your invaluable contributions to our country and our communities. Happy Veterans Day! #VeteransDay #EdgemoorTeam #Gratitude

Over the past few months, Edgemoor has volunteered with PathForwardVA, an organization dedicated to ending homelessness in Arlington, Virginia. Last week, the Edgemoor team joined partners in the higher education space at the P3•EDU Conference in Denver. Edgemoor's Senior Managing Director Geoffrey Stricker spoke on the Reimagining Campus Real Estate panel, contributing to a broader discussion regarding how colleges and universities can use real estate to differentiate themselves from peer institutions and attract the best and brightest students, faculty, staff, and industry partners. Here are our key takeaways from the conference: 👷In today’s challenging real estate environment, strong project champions are more important than ever to move projects forward. 🏢 Colleges and universities across the country are looking to develop new, non-core asset types beyond student housing, like hotels and energy infrastructure, and need strategic partners to help realize these initiatives. 💡Focusing on aligning students' skills with the evolving needs of industries, innovation buildings can play a crucial role for universities. We look forward to continuing to deliver solutions that align with changing institutional priorities! #P3EDU #HigherEducation #Edgemoor #Innovation

The City of Kansas City, MO, Kansas City Aviation Department and our partners Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM), Clark Construction Group, The Weitz Company, and Clarkson Construction Company created something truly unique in Kansas City, and we are proud these efforts are receiving international recognition. The New Terminal's model for inclusivity and accessibility sets the standard for other transit facilities worldwide.
Last year, we completed the largest single infrastructure project in Kansas City’s history—a 1.1 million-square-foot airport that the city endeavored to be “the most accessible in the world.” Today, we took that accolade a step further, with Prix Versailles recognizing Kansas City International Airport among a list of 2024’s “Most Beautiful Airports” in the world. The awards program, organized in association with UNESCO, honors projects across the globe that have left extraordinary imprints on their environments. Through a collaboration with Edgemoor Infrastructure & Real Estate, Clark Construction Group, Clarkson Construction Company and The Weitz Company (CWC), and the Kansas City Aviation Department, we replaced the existing overcrowded terminals, originally built in 1972, with a highly sustainable building that reimagines inclusivity and accessibility for air travel. In the McLean office, we welcomed Hudson Noyes, a rising senior majoring in Economics and Data Science at the University of Virginia. Hudson spent his summer gaining valuable experience and insight into the development process across a variety of corporate initiatives. His major takeaway was the fulfillment that comes from being part of a collaborative team. Hudson shared: "The biggest thing I learned this summer is the value of collaboration and utilizing the knowledge of those around you. It is invaluable to be surrounded by people with unique backgrounds and experiences to learn from and help broaden my skill set and understanding." Thank you for all your work this summer, Hudson! We wish you the best of luck this upcoming school year.
