As a mission-driven non-profit, we use data and analytics to improve outcomes for students and the education system.
About us
Education Analytics conducts research and develops rigorous analytics that support actionable solutions and drive continuous improvement in American education. We help our partners make better decisions on policies and programs that lead to success for all students. At EA, we work closely with our partners to illuminate patterns in data that drive change. We believe that the right data and analytics delivered at the right time can help increase equity in education. We work with the largest education systems in the country, small districts brought together through regional offices of education, state departments of education, leading research institutions and universities, charter management organizations, and fellow non-profit organizations. In each partnership, we bring what we’ve learned across our partners to co-build the right solution. We enjoy collaborating with these organizations to support the success of the millions of students they serve.

EA's Impact Division brings together People Operations, Administrative Services, and Brand & Communications to support our mission and drive meaningful change. This team plays a vital role in fostering a positive and inclusive culture, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, and amplifying our message to the world. Last week, the team came together to connect and reflect for a winter celebration, including lunch from local Marigold Cafe and a #PaintByNumbers activity. Can you guess what everyone is painting so far?

Check out the latest blog on our website by Chief of Staff Libby Pier and CEO Andrew Rice! Libby and Andrew discuss the lessons we’ve learned as EA has worked to build a technology-forward #research organization. They describe the cultural differences that can cause #researchers and #technologists to talk past each other and highlight how commonalities can help transform the #education field into an information-rich, evidence-driven space. “If we want to not just ‘bridge’ but truly integrate these fields, we must start viewing researchers and technologists as two equally critical ingredients needed to build a high-quality ed tech product.” Read Libby and Andrew’s insights below, and please share with your networks! https://lnkd.in/gfD3uGn5

Congratulations to EA's Chief of Staff, Libby Pier, who was recently selected to serve as a mentor at SXSW EDU 2025! 🎉
I am excited to be serving as a #mentor at SXSW EDU 2025. Along with roughly 70 other mentors, I'll be meeting one-on-one with attendees to help them tackle #career challenges, explore new opportunities, and make strides in their #professional journeys. Sign-ups for one-on-one mentor sessions will open up in February. Hoping I'll get to see some colleagues from my network there! https://lnkd.in/gfW7nv-e

Be sure to check out one of our most-read posts of the year! Two years after the release of #ChatGPT, EA’s CEO Andrew Rice reflects on how generative #AI needs to remain in the public’s control to best serve the #education field. He calls for collaboration among #educators, technologists, and policymakers to build publicly-owned, #interoperable #data structures and AI tools that prioritize #privacy and standardization. “Transformational change in education won’t come about by only using generic generative AI tools like ChatGPT, but rather by providing educators and administrators with tools that leverage the data specific to their own context,” Andrew writes. “Just like an office worker’s daily work may be enhanced by AI ‘layered over’ their email, calendar, team chat, policy documents, and more—so too might a teacher’s daily work be transformed by AI ‘layered over’ their students’ attendance data, gradebook, assessment scores, and more.” Read Andrew’s insights below and please share with your networks! https://lnkd.in/gnQtfuGP
