Overall, the trip to Lahore in January 2024 was a remarkable learning experience and served as a perfect precursor to the upcoming conference in February. We finalized arrangements at the beautiful PC Hotel, connected with some inspiring educationalists, and enjoyed Lahore’s delightful winter weather. Tooba Malik SHRM - SCP In addition, we had the chance to visit the Future Fest happening in Lahore at the time, which turned out to be an impressive and worthwhile experience! A particularly special highlight of the trip was reconnecting with Ayesha Nasir, the founder of Scary Ammi and an old friend, whose inspiring journey and innovative work added a personal touch to this memorable visit.

Here’s another throwback to the preparations for the Lahore Conference in early 2024. Our founder, Miss Rukaiya Salman, CFA, had the pleasure of visiting the beautiful campus of Learning Alliance International where we met their principal, Miss Farah Masood . Her remarkable hospitality stood out, and we were grateful for her kind invitation to an IB DP event taking place at the school that day. She also had the opportunity to meet Mr. Iain Riley (NPQH) principal of TNS Lahore, and engage in a fruitful discussion about IB practices in Pakistan. Of course, no reflection on the conference preparations would be complete without mentioning the incredible team at Eye on Ivy our main collaborators for the Lahore Conference. Miss Rukaiya also met their founder, Miss Shanza Khan and had an in-depth discussion about the event details. Their support was indispensable, and the event wouldn’t have been possible without their efforts.

Year 2024 in Review ! Throwback to February 2024: A Joyful & Informative Visit to Lahore ! Lahore never fails to inspire, and this trip was no exception. The purpose? Preparing for AAE's very first educational conference in Lahore later that month. It was an absolute pleasure connecting with like-minded changemakers and rekindling old memories. Met the brilliant founders of Edkasa and caught up with my amazing LUMS batchmates, Fahad Tanveer and Annum Sadiq ! Had the privilege of visiting the stunning new campus of the International School of Lahore and meeting Salman Shahid, one of its visionary founders. And of course, no visit to Lahore is complete without a trip to Lahore University of Management Sciences. Walking around the campus brought back so many memories of my own time there—it’s hard to believe it’s been almost two decades! It was wonderful reconnecting with the incredible team at the SOE LUMS to invite them to the conference and brainstorm potential collaborations. Thank You for a Remarkable Year, 2024! This year has been nothing short of extraordinary, filled with growth, collaboration, and success. February marked a milestone with our very first in-person conference in Lahore. April and May brought us closer with a series of insightful roundtable talks. Summer kept us on our toes as we prepared for the much-anticipated KSESS 1.0 in October, alongside numerous student-parent events for our incredible volunteers and a pre-launch event in September. As we end the year with two impactful trainings on AI tools, it’s the perfect moment to reflect on everything we’ve achieved together. None of this would have been possible without your unwavering support, dedication, and belief in our vision. Here’s to looking back at 2024 together !
