Mission Statement: To empower marginalized communities, particularly youth, women, children, students, and the less privileged, by providing access to skills acquisition, water management, climate change mitigation, education, agriculture, advocacy, research and IDP inclusiveness initiatives, promoting sustainable development and social justice. Vision Statement: A world where marginalized communities have equal opportunities to thrive, contribute, and reach their full potential, living in a sustainable, equitable, and just society. Objectives: 1. Skills Acquisition: Provide vocational training, entrepreneurship development, and mentorship programs for youth and women. 2. Water Management: Implement initiatives promoting water conservation, efficient use, and management practices. 3. Climate Change: Support climate change mitigation and adaptation efforts through sustainable agriculture practices, renewable energy, and environmental conservation. 4. Education: Advocate for access to quality education for marginalized children, students, and IDPs, and provide educational resources and support. 5. Agriculture: Promote sustainable agriculture practices, provide training on agricultural entrepreneurship, and support access to markets for small-scale farmers. 6. Advocacy: Advocate for the rights and dignity of marginalized communities, particularly IDPs, and support policy reforms promoting social justice and equality. 7. IDP Inclusiveness: Provide support for the social, economic, and educational integration of IDPs, promoting their rights and dignity. Core Values: 1.   • REPORT OF CHRISTMAS HOPE PARTY FOR THE SLUM FLOATING SCHOOL AT MAKOKO: An amazing Christmas party was held with 200 pupils of slum floating school Makoko Community today December 18, 2024 with the Theme:. A Season of Giving: Spreading Joy and Nourishment in Makoko" supported by the Co- founder Dr Alan D' Kruse of Water Empowernment Foundation. The event started by 10am with the pupils, School management and Water Empowerment Foundation Team. Makoko community is a densely populated slum settlement located in a water environment. After the welcoming address and the national Anthem the pupils were enlightened that Water Empowernment Foundation is a Non-Governmental organization which aims to: Empower communities to manage water resources effectively and Promote sustainable water management practices. On that note pupils were advice to preserve water in other to preserve their lives by taken good clean water and be conscious of their environment. In addition, the pupils were taught that power of kindness and hard work if effectively use it will have a greater impact in their lives, pupils response to what their dreams are, really showed that there is hope that many students from slum floating school in Makoko if properly trained and noutured will in the future produce Pilot, Doctor, Police and other careers as mentioned. They were advice to use the five 'Ds' of success Dedication, determination,discipline,Decision and diligence to attain their goals. The children dance with excitement to all the music played having the festive spirit already and Joy filled their faces , they went home with their party packs that looks very attractive. The Founder Adepoju Deborah and her staff shows appreciation and agreed to see the Collaboration of Water Empowernment Foundation by setting SDG Club in the school come next year 2025. The party ended by 1pm with pictures and short interview with the founder of the school and the experience of entering Canoe was an amazing adventure to most of WEFound Team irrespective of the outlook of the community the Team performed excellently well living behind an impact that will promote the pupils personal and academic development. #WEFOUND

  • On November 20, 2024, a memorable visit to Makoko's Hope Floating School in Lagos was organized by the Water Empowerment Foundation (Wefound). During the visit, the school's founder, Adepoju Adeola Deborah, and the pupils were celebrated for their achievements. Special rewards were presented to the students by Mr. Alan D. Kruse, and a guest speaker, Mr. Obasi John, inspired the pupils with a speech about success through the five Ds: Decision, Determination, Discipline, Diligence, and Dedication. He also discussed the importance of education and highlighted the need for climate action, clean water, and sanitation. Despite the challenges the pupils face, the day showcased the resilience of the Makoko community.     November 6, 2024, marked a significant day for the students of Obele Community High School in Lagos, Nigeria. Water Empowerment Foundation (Wefound) and Raising Every Human To Star Exclusive (REHTSE) joined forces to host a one-day advocacy program, focusing on empowering the girl child. The event kicked off at 8:00 am and concluded at 9:00 am, packed with inspiring activities. The program began with an introductory Charge Talk, setting the tone for a day of enlightenment and motivation. Esther Okekwuo, a professional certified science educator pursuing her PhD in STEM education and entrepreneurship, authored the donated books. Her book, "Girls Book of Life," aims to inspire and educate young girls. Mr. Obasi from Wefound emphasized the importance of achieving the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly: - Quality Education (SDG 4) - Climate Action (SDG 13) - Clean Water and Sanitation (SDG 6) Chiamaka Nwamgbo and Funmilola Ademola-Aliu were notable attendees.
