We welcomed visitors from the Adler Aphasia Center for an inspiring day of connection and creativity. Through a hands-on beading activity, our guests not only shared their artistic talents but helped us better understand the experiences of those with #aphasia, a complex communication disorder. The day was made even more special with a sales booth showcasing beautiful hand-beaded items crafted by members from the center. We had the honor of hosting Dr. Favia Dubyk, a Harvard-educated hematopathologist and cancer survivor, for an unforgettable session. She shared her story and how her own experiences have influenced her practice as a physician.   Dr. Dubyk discovered her passion for oncology research and advocacy after being diagnosed with advanced-stage lymphoma during medical school. Throughout the session, she captivated us with her unique perspectives on patient care and how the healthcare industry can improve.
