ELABORATOR's Co-creation playbook reveals 𝗮𝗹𝗹! 🪄 We are excited to announce the launch of this new document, designed to guide our Living Labs and other #cities across Europe in developing inclusive, affordable, and sustainable mobility solutions 🤝🚴♀️ 📋 The Co-creation playbook provides a step-by-step framework that actively involves key stakeholders, including local citizens and vulnerable road users, in shaping mobility projects that address both climate goals and social equity. 💬 “The aim of the playbook is to inspire cities to design urban spaces that work for everyone, especially vulnerable road users, by using inclusive, community-driven processes. Co-creation not only promotes community well-being but also supports a shift towards sustainable transport systems.” - Ida Grundel, Linköping University. Indeed, we invite cities everywhere to use these guidelines to transform urban spaces into safer, greener environments, better addressing diverse community needs. 🚀 Urbana at CIVITAS Forum 2024: Advancing Inclusive and Sustainable Urban Mobility 🌍 Last week, we participated in the CIVITAS Forum 2024 in #Parma, Italy, joining cities, innovators, and urban mobility leaders from across Europe! We took part in this forum representing the ELABORATOR Project, and it was a prime opportunity to explore how community-driven initiatives can reshape urban transportation and create sustainable, inclusive mobility solutions that prioritise the needs of all residents. 🌱 ➡️During our session, “How Community-Driven Initiatives Can Reshape Urban Mobility”, we focused on the importance of engaging local communities in the co-design of transport systems. By incorporating diverse community voices, we can create mobility solutions that truly reflect the needs of all residents. Key Takeaways: -Inclusive Citizen Engagement: Community involvement is essential to ensuring that transportation systems serve everyone. Engaging residents in the design process fosters inclusivity and leads to more sustainable outcomes. -Addressing Gender and Vulnerability in Urban Transport: Many current systems prioritise work-related commutes, which can overlook the needs of women and vulnerable groups. Day #2 at #ITSDubai2024 and I-SENSEGroup/ICCS is on fire! Our Technical Director, Giannis Karaseitanidis moderated the discussions on the session "Sustainable and safe urban mobility for all. Reality or illusion?", organised by our team and ELABORATOR Project, which was presented by our Evangelia Portouli, senior researcher and Administration, Quality & Dissemination Director at I-SENSEGroup/ICCS.
