EUFMC 2024 was attended by a record 175 fleet representatives from electric utilities, contractors, co-ops, and municipal operations, including over 50 new members and eight new companies. Joining the fleet professionals were more than 360 attendees from almost 100 manufacturers and suppliers that offer vehicles, equipment, products, and services for utility fleet operations.   • EUFMC EXPANDS WOMEN IN UTILITY FLEET PROGRAM The third annual EUFMC Women in Utility Fleet networking opportunity for women fleet professionals will also include women representatives from manufacturers and suppliers of services for utility fleets. The luncheon event will take place on Wednesday, June 4, 2025.   “Feedback from the first two Women in Utility Fleet gatherings has been overwhelmingly positive,” said EUFMC Director Julie Gomez, Tucson Electric Power. “One of the suggestions we received was to include women representatives from suppliers who attend the conference as a way to expand our efforts to advance the role of women in the utility fleet industry.” “In 2025, we plan to build on last year’s discussions about issues of common interest for the industry’s growing number of women professionals,” said EUFMC Director Lissa Brady, San Diego Gas & Electric. “We look forward to welcoming women who work for manufacturers and suppliers to this unique forum.” #EUFMC #EUFMC2025 #EUFMCWilliamsburg

  • As EUFMC sets its sights on 2025, Brian Johnson, Fleet Services Manager at Alabama Power Company, has joined the EUFMC Board of Directors. “Brian Johnson is a recognized leader in the industry,” said EUFMC President Greg Loew, Avista Utilities. “He and his team are focused on safety and innovation for today and the future. Brian brings a wealth of experience from his tenure in both of Southern Company’s major utilities, and his leadership of the fleet at Alabama Power, to our conference.” At Alabama Power Company, Johnson oversees the Fleet Engineering and Technical Services team responsible for specifications and design, maintenance, technician training, electric vehicles, and telematics programs. Over 17 years with Southern Company, he has held positions of Fleet Maintenance Manager at Alabama Power and Southern Area Fleet Services Manager at Georgia Power. “I am honored to be joining the EUFMC Board,” Johnson said. “This conference is where the major players in the electric utility fleet industry come together—fleet leaders, decision makers, manufacturing partners, and innovators all in one place. Every year I come away with more insight, ideas, and stronger relationships than before, so I am excited to help facilitate those opportunities for the leadership in our industry. I look forward to the future of EUFMC and how it will continue to grow its rich legacy of influence among utility companies.” #EUFMC #EUFMC2025 #EUFMCWilliamsburg
