We are excited to announce that earlier today, Fortaleza Materiales entered into an agreement to transition GCHI and its subsidiaries—Giant Cement, Dragon Cement, and Giant Resource Recovery—to Heidelberg Materials. Keystone Cement is not included in this transaction. The final closing is anticipated in the first quarter of 2025, and we are confident that this milestone will contribute significantly to the growth and sustainability goals of both Fortaleza Materiales and Heidelberg Materials. For GCHI, this marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter—building on a legacy of success, quality services, community engagement, and strong partnerships with our customers and stakeholders.

November 15- National Recycling Day At Elementia USA, we’re proud to be part of a sustainability-focused group of companies where recycling is a cornerstone of operations. At the forefront of these efforts is our sister company, GRR! (Giant Resource Recovery). Through innovation and commitment, GRR! gives new life to materials that might otherwise be wasted, keeping processes efficient, environmentally friendly, and focused on reducing environmental impact. In 2023 alone, GRR! transformed over 300,000 metric tons of industrial waste into alternative fuel and incorporated approximately 25% recycled materials into our group’s cement operations, significantly reducing landfill waste. GRR! is also the largest aerosol processor in the nation, achieving a 100% recycling rate for aerosol waste. As a group, we are united in our mission to protect the planet, conserve resources, and lead in sustainable practices. But there’s still more work to be done. Celebrating National Hispanic Heritage Month 2024 Pioneers of Change: Shaping the Future Together From September 15 to October 15, Elementia USA joins in celebrating National Hispanic Heritage Month, recognizing the rich history, culture, and diversity of Hispanic Americans. Their heritage is rooted in Spain and 19 countries and territories, including Mexico, Puerto Rico, Colombia, and more. This month is special because it honors the independence days of several Latin American countries. September 15 marks the independence celebrations of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Guatemala, and Honduras, followed by Mexico on September 16 and Chile on September 18.
