During their recent visit to India and Bangladesh, Elevate Textiles CEO Jeffrey P. Pritchett, A&E President Chris Alt, Elevate CFO Matt Rogers, and Managing Director of A&E India, Sanjeev Narula, attended the Cancer Awareness, Detection, and Medical Camp at A&E India’s Vardhman Ludhiana unit. Organized in collaboration with the World Cancer Care Charitable Society, the event aimed to raise awareness and provide essential medical services, especially to underserved and rural communities. Approximately 500 individuals benefited from the camp, which offered a range of medical screenings, including cancer detection, vision tests, and general health assessments. Kulwant Singh Dhaliwal, the Global Ambassador for World Cancer Care, gave an inspiring speech on the significance of such initiatives and their transformative impact on countless lives. Jeff, Chris, Matt, Sanjeev, and others expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to participate in the event and witness firsthand the positive effects of the services provided. “Health education is crucial in the development of the country and local communities,” said Chris Alt. “A&E India – Vardhman has always been at the forefront of efforts that help support and encourage these initiatives.” Plans are in place to organize 28 additional cancer awareness and detection camps in the Hoshiarpur region, with a focus on promoting health education and encouraging proactive care. This is another example of how our A&E teams around the world are positively impacting local communities and making a meaningful difference where we operate. This Valentine’s Day, we are showing extra love with a spotlight on our Sri Lanka team. In partnership with the University of Kelaniya, A&E Lanka recently completed a coastal preservation project aimed at restoring local mangroves. Why mangroves? These remarkable plants thrive in saltwater, enduring conditions that would overwhelm most other vegetation. They play a crucial role in mitigating climate change, preserving biodiversity, and supporting coastal ecosystems. By restoring mangroves, we are not only enhancing the local environment but also increasing its resilience to natural disasters, creating a safer and more sustainable future for the region. “This initiative reflects A&E's ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability and fostering lasting, positive change,” said Isuru Nisal, Manager of EHS & Sustainability at A&E Lanka. “We’re dedicated to promoting sustainable practices and inspiring others to join us on this important journey.” We take pride in being a responsible steward in the communities where we operate, in the quality of A&E thread products we produce, and in the services we provide around the world. • This week, several of our senior leaders visited with key senators and representatives in Washington, D.C., including Congressman Richard Hudson. Our team has been working to advocate for all of our brands and for the importance of funding the Wool Trust Fund in support of the fabrics that Burlington Fabrics produces for all branches of the U.S. Military. “We appreciate Congressman Hudson’s years of support in Congress as a champion for our employees and brands," said Jeffrey P. Pritchett, CEO of Elevate Textiles.
