Elevate Government Affairs LLC is excited to announce the addition of Michelle Richardson to our talented team. Michelle will be joining us as an Executive Vice President. She joins us from her role as Chief of Staff in the Office of Senator Roger Wicker (R-MS). Michelle played a critical role in legislative strategy, policy development, and constituency engagement, supporting Senator Wicker’s leadership on key committees, including the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee; Environment and Public Works Committee; Rules and Administration Committee; the Helsinki Commission; and Senate Armed Services Committee where he will serve as the Chairman next Congress. “Michelle is a fantastic addition to our team,” said Rob Chamberlin, Co-Founder of Elevate. “She brings years of Hill experience, has a great reputation for getting things done in a partisan environment, and is particularly adept at navigating the politics on thorny issues. She will be an asset to our existing client base and a huge advocate for the Defense and Commerce communities as well as issues important to the people of Mississippi. We are excited for her to join us.“

Proud to have worked over the past 9 months with our co-chairs Robert L. Sumwalt and John D. Porcari — and the incredibly hardworking team of colleagues Tyler H., Samantha Wells and Kayla Roberson — on the Aviation Supply Chain Integrity Coalition. Together, leading US and EU aerospace companies have come together to identify actionable steps that the industry can take to prevent bad actors from threatening the safety of the aviation supply chain. Today, we released our final report with 13 recommended actions the industry can take to reduce the risk of suspected unapproved parts in the supply chain. Read the full report here: https://lnkd.in/ezMVhADP
One year ago, we learned a rogue company fraudulently sold jet engine parts into the aviation supply chain with falsified documentation. I was proud of our team’s quick action to work with partners across the airline industry to track down jet engines suspected of containing unapproved parts. While this issue impacted less than one percent of our engines worldwide, this quick response demonstrated our commitment to safety. But our efforts did not stop there. We wanted to make sure that all of us in the industry could improve safety by learning from this incident. Working with many of our partners and customers, we formed a coalition to identify actionable steps companies can take to help prevent future bad actors from impacting the supply chain again. Today, the Aviation Supply Chain Integrity Coalition released its report with three categories of recommended actions the industry can take to help strengthen the supply chain and guard against the infiltration of unapproved parts: Strengthening Vendor Accreditation, Digitizing Documents and Signatures, and Improving Part Traceability. Many of the companies involved already are implementing some of the recommendations. GE Aerospace has digitized 18 million Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) records, and today when an engine has maintenance performed at a GE Aerospace MRO shop, key paperwork is digitized. AI verifies the validity of data fields, flagging discrepancies. Later this year, we will pilot digital signatures. I’m especially grateful to Robert L. Sumwalt and John D. Porcari for leading the work during the last nine months. The coalition benefited greatly from the time and insights of other coalition members Airbus, American Airlines, Boeing, Delta Air Lines, Safran, StandardAero, and United Airlines. Their dedication has been invaluable. Read the Full Report: https://lnkd.in/ezMVhADP
