  • Helping Athletes Surround Themselves with Positive Influences This Holiday Season Coaches and parents, the holidays are a perfect time to encourage athletes to reflect on their environment. Are they surrounding themselves with people who support their growth and values? Remind them of this: 🟢 Evaluate their circle: Who are the five people they spend the most time with? Do these companions align with their goals and values? 🟢 Focus on growth: Their environment should uplift and inspire them, not hold them back. 🟢 Embrace change: Growth often means evolving their circle to include those who share their drive and ambition. As mentors, help guide these conversations to ensure their environment reflects who they aspire to be. Together, we can build strong, positive foundations for their success! If they need some additional guidance have them download our Your Environment, that is COMPLIMENTARY till Dec. 31. • Is It Time to Rethink JUCO Eligibility and NCAA Rules for Student-Athletes? Today's court ruling that JUCO eligibility will no longer count towards NCAA eligibility raises some big questions for student-athletes, coaches, and parents. One key argument behind this decision? The lack of meaningful NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) opportunities for JUCO athletes. But here's the thing: JUCO programs are often steppingstones for athletes chasing their NCAA dreams. They provide opportunities to grow athletically and academically. So, should these years be treated differently when it comes to eligibility? With NIL reshaping college sports, is it time to rethink the rules? Should JUCO athletes have access to the same opportunities and benefits as their NCAA peers? We’d love to hear your thoughts! How can we ensure fairness and opportunity for all student-athletes in this evolving landscape? #JUCOAthletes #NCAAEligibility #StudentAthleteSupport #NILOpportunities #CollegeSports #WellBeing #StudentAthlete #NCAA #NIL #CollegeSports

  • Graduating senior athletes, their journey is just beginning! Change is constant, but their adaptability makes you unstoppable. As they prepare for life after sports, how you best support them during this exciting transition? Here are some tips for guiding these resilient leaders as they step into their next chapter: 1. Encourage Reflection and Goal Setting: Life after sports is a new adventure. With more free time and no structured team environment, senior athletes may feel a void. Encourage them to: 🔵 Reflect on their achievements and skills gained through sports. 🔵 Set new goals for their personal and professional growth. 🔵 Explore new activities or hobbies that ignite their passion. 2. Foster Leadership Growth: Leadership is a skill these athletes have mastered on and off the field. Help them continue to grow by: 🔵 Supporting opportunities to lead in community or career settings. 🔵 Encouraging mentorship roles to guide younger athletes. 3. Prioritize Wellness and Balance: A healthy lifestyle is key to long-term success. Guide them to: 🔵 Develop new routines that include staying active and prioritizing mental health. 🔵 Find balance in their lives, combining career aspirations with personal well-being. 4. Share Resources for the Transition: Equip them with tools to navigate this shift effectively. • Holiday Reflection: Strengthening Gratitude for Athletes, Coaches & Parents The holiday season is a perfect time to slow down and reflect—not just for athletes but for coaches and parents too. Amidst the hustle and bustle, it’s a chance to reconnect with gratitude and purpose. For Athletes: Encourage them to think about why they love playing their sport. What makes it so special? What moments bring them joy? Have them write it down—this can be a powerful reminder on tough days to reignite their passion and focus. For Coaches: Reflect on why you coach. What moments have made you proud? What impact have you made? Holding onto that gratitude can remind you of the importance of your role in shaping lives. For Parents: Take a moment to think about your role in your athlete’s journey. How can you continue to support and inspire them? Reflect on the joy of being their biggest fan and guide. • Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit nailed it last night! Their advice wasn’t just for football—it’s a life lesson for all athletes. Old-school values like discipline and grit always win. Social media and NIL deals are shiny distractions, but they won’t solve life’s toughest challenges. Take a few minutes to listen after they talk about Peter 🐶 https://lnkd.in/g7m6-9y3 #AthleteMindset #LifeSkills #SportsLeadership
