About us
Many children who could benefit from therapeutic services in the greater Spokane area don't have access to the full range of care that could help them overcome and cope with physical, speech and mental challenges. Outstanding therapy resources are available for children in our community, but financial and insurance limitations are restricting families' access to needed therapies. Rather than allow children to go untreated, the therapeutic community in Spokane began reaching out to help. Elevations Foundation was established by committed medical professionals, families and community members who see too many children with physical and mental challenges who could be helped by therapy, but who have limited or no resources to meet the cost. Elevations works with licensed professionals throughout the greater Spokane region to identify uninsured and under-insured children and provide them access to therapeutic services in the community.

But with the help of an elevations grant for speech therapy, Amelia is defying the odds! "If Amelia had not started speech therapy when she did, I think she would still really be lagging behind kids her age," shares her mom. This is why early intervention is so crucial! It can make all the difference in a child's development. Elevations helps children access vital therapies when they need it most, giving children the support they need to thrive. Meet Parker and Alister, twin brothers born at just 29 weeks gestation. Their journey has been one of incredible strength and resilience. Parker, born at 2lbs 3oz, spent 136 days in the NICU and faced multiple surgeries, a brain bleed, and a cerebral palsy diagnosis. Cerebral palsy affects muscle control and movement, making everyday activities like sitting and playing a challenge. Thanks to Elevations, Parker now has a specialized postural support chair – a "go-to seat" that allows him to play alongside his brother, Alister. These chairs often cost a small fortune but the impact this chair has had on these brothers and their family is immeasurable.
