About us
Rocky Mountain Kids, Colorado’s now largest private child care company, provides licensed child care services for children ages three to fifteen. Founded in 2016, the partners Brennan Fontaine, an expert in the field, and Russell Cleveland, an entrepreneur and Navy Veteran, collaborated and combined their skills to bring affordable and reliable child care options back to the Denver Metro area. Starting at just two locations in Aurora 2016, the two grew the company to now 40+ locations, serving nearly 10,000 students and employing roughly 200 staff. Rocky Mountain Kids is now looked at as a major partner in many Colorado school districts, now tapping into the rapidly growing ECE (Pre-K) field in Colorado as well. With Pandemic era funding having recently ended, families across the country are feeling the pinch as Daycare centers are forced to raise tuition rates back up to make up funding shortages. 80-100000 students in Colorado are expected to be unable to meet this financial burden, causing many parents to exit the workforce. Rocky Mountain Kids is working to bridge the gap, aiming to reduce this burden on our member families as much as possible in the coming year. Remaining funding awards available will likely be announced in coming weeks, which will set the stage for budgets for daycare centers across Colorado for the coming year(s). Excited to share that I have transitioned to serve as CEO of Rocky Mountain Kids, leading the next chapter of our business alongside our new COO Nattiel (left) and Chief of Staff Kate (right), as my long time business partner Brennan (left center) transitions away from daily operations into an advisory role for our team after 27 years in child care. According to the Bell Policy Center, there are about 75,000 more children in Colorado under six whose parents are working than there are licensed daycare spots.
