  • Meet Taylor Ward, our newest ambulatory clinical pharmacist at Elliot Health System, working to make your healthcare experience smoother and more accessible. Taylor is part of a dedicated team of pharmacists embedded directly within our primary care practices, meaning that expert medication management and personalized care are just a visit away. As a medication expert, Taylor works closely with healthcare providers in our Bedford practices to help patients manage their medications and optimize treatment plans. This integrated approach ensures patients receive hands-on guidance for complex medication needs right alongside their other health services. For patients, this means less time between appointments and more immediate support when adjusting medications or addressing potential side effects. Taylor says, “As an ambulatory clinical pharmacist, I have specialized training in managing chronic conditions and work closely with healthcare providers to begin, adjust, or stop medications. I am dedicated to helping patients understand their health and the role of each medication in reaching their health goals. It’s incredibly rewarding to see patients take control of their health. Additionally, I understand the complexities of accessing medications, from navigating prior authorizations to providing alternative medication recommendations. My goal is to serve as a bridge between the clinic and the pharmacy, offering support at each step along the way.” Our ambulatory pharmacist program, currently available in Bedford, Londonderry, and Senior Health, allows patients easier access to these important services while opening appointment availability with other providers. Taylor’s presence in Bedford brings this added layer of convenience to the community, ensuring patients have the right medication guidance and support. This program will soon be expanding, bringing even more locations across Elliot Health System so that patients throughout our communities can benefit from coordinated care and streamlined access to pharmacy expertise.

  • Elliot Community Unites to Share in the Season of Giving On November 21, we came together once again for a successful Employee and Volunteer Appreciation turkey distribution along with a food and clothing drive! Heartfelt thanks to everyone who donated and participated, supporting both our Elliot family and the greater Manchester community. After distributing employee and volunteer turkeys, an additional 1,200 were donated to the New Hampshire Food Bank, which distributes to many other non-profits to help families in need. Along with the turkeys, we gathered nearly 746 pounds of food (approximately 622 meals), and several large bags of warm clothing were donated to Brookside Congregational Church.

  • Meet Shante, an LNA with the Visiting Nurse Association of Manchester & Southern NH (VNA) hospice care, who has been a valued part of our team for nine years. Shante provides compassionate care to patients nearing the end of life, ensuring they remain comfortable during a difficult time. Her journey with the VNA began after working in a nursing home, where she was inspired by a visiting VNA aide who spoke passionately about the rewarding experience of working for the VNA. Shante loves her patients; their strength and resilience inspire her in her work. Shante and her colleagues at the VNA provide patients with vital home health, collaborative, and hospice care, delivering high-quality, compassionate services right in their homes. Whether helping individuals recover from illness or offering comfort during end-of-life care, the VNA supports patients and families at every stage. Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, cherishing moments of connection. We're grateful for Shante's dedication and the comfort she brings to so many.

Thoracic Surgeon at the Elliot Hospital. Carpe Pulmo Robotico 🤖🫁 ⚡️ Seize the lung robotically and light the way to better patient care.

Spreading the good word on Lung Screening…. 🫁 Had the distinction pleasure yesterday of presenting to the NH Medical Society at the “Wentworth by the Sea” Hotel in New Castle. Was a wonderful crowd at their yearly meeting and I was able to update everyone on the busy Lung Screening program at the Elliot hospital where we have scanned almost 7000 patients since 2017 and found 78 early lung cancers basically one cancer per 88 scans. Also updated the Society on the advances in Thoracic Surgery technology that the Elliot hospital has successfully embraced such as Ion Robotic Bronchoscopy, Galvanized Aliya system Pulsed Electric Field bronchoscopic tumor ablation, Atricure CryoNerve Block, Zimmer Advantage Minimally invasive Rib Plating and the incorporation of Circulogene liquid biopsy in our lung nodule program. Especially proud to be part of our Orthopedic Trauma teams CryoNerve block extremity amputation study to evaluate its effectiveness on Phantom limb pain. (one of the first such trials in the nation.) Also connected with two great individuals whom both worked with me in resident training on the old “Farnsworth Four Surgical floor” at Tufts medical center back in the 90’s. Dr Joan Breen (neurologist) and Sheila Evjy, St Anslems Trustee and retired Nursing executive from the Elliot hospital. It’s always great to connect with people and continue to learn. We are the Elliot. • Hello. My name is Kim D’Agostino. I have been a physical therapist with the Visiting Nurse Association of Manchester & Southern New Hampshire (VNA) for over fourteen years. As a home care physical therapist, my role is to help patients regain mobility and independence in the comfort of their own homes. I evaluate each patient’s unique needs, develop personalized exercise and rehabilitation plans, and work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to recovery. Whether it's post-surgery rehabilitation, managing a chronic condition, or recovering from an injury, I guide patients through their journey to improve strength, balance, and overall physical function. My hope is to empower them to lead more active and fulfilling lives. I became a physical therapist because I’ve always been interested in the musculoskeletal system. I was inspired at a young age when I saw my younger brother receive home physical therapy through early intervention. I love what I do because I help patients regain their prior level of function and address goals that they have helped set. Oftentimes, their goals are daily tasks that we don’t think twice about, such as being able to walk to the mailbox or getting in and out of a car. It is very uplifting to see someone accomplish a goal they have worked so hard to achieve.
