  • Exciting milestone for Jaime L. Martínez Santos, MD as he successfully performs his first endoscopic surgery as an attending on a male patient with a left L3-L4 foraminal disc herniation! Dr. Martinez specializes in complex cranial neurosurgery and now he is adopting this cool technique. Using a transforaminal approach, Dr. Martinez skillfully navigated this complex procedure, providing a minimally invasive solution that promotes faster recovery and reduced pain. • This past weekend, we had the honor of hosting a hands on cadaver workshop led by Samuel Brown DO, FAAPMR, who proctored Dr Brian Durkin on performing a visualized nerve transection, (aka endoscopic rhizotomy ) a very common indication. It was a fantastic opportunity for collaboration and learning, and while Dr brown has performed many of these endoscopic procedures, now Dr Durkin can begin to offer this least invasive procedural solution to his patients in need. #EndoscopicSurgery #NerveTransection #MedicalInnovation #PatientCare #Elliquence

  • We had an incredible time at the XXII Someec Congress in Puebla, Mexico. Alongside Dr. Stefan Hellinger, we had the opportunity to perform two live surgeries—transforaminal and interlaminar, using DiscFx in both patients. We delivered two lectures on the endoscopic transforaminal approach and cervical endoscopic approach, followed by a workshop in the main auditorium. A couple highlights of the event were our dinner celebrating Dr. Roberto Cantu, the new Someec president and to have Dr. Radovan Sancevick from Venezuela as a special guest. Here’s to more collaboration and education while we continue to grow together 🎉 Until next year💪🏽 #Elliquence #LessIsMore #EndoscopicSpine #SomeecCongress

  • ✨ Bridging the Gap Between Uniportal and Biportal Endoscopy through the Mult-e Portal / MALIF Approach ✨ The endoscopic spine field constantly seeks innovative ways to improve patient care, and the Multiple Endoscopic Access Lumbar Interbody Fusion (Mult-e Portal / MALIF) technique is a perfect example of this progress. 🔬 Why Mult-e Portal / MALIF? MALIF enhances traditional unilateral biportal endoscopic lumbar interbody fusion. This state-of-the-art technique provides: 1️⃣ Multidirectional Access: Improved visualization and surgical manipulation through multiple endoscopic portals. 2️⃣ Precision: Real-time intradiscal visualization for accurate discectomy and fusion. 3️⃣ Safety: Superior neural protection with a monoportal sleeve barrier. 📈 Proven Results In a study of 15 patients with lumbar spondylolisthesis: - Operative time averaged 97.4 minutes. - Minimal blood loss: 24.3 ml. - Significant pain reduction and mobility improvement within three months. 💡 The Future of Spine Surgery MALIF not only minimizes recovery time but also reduces complications, ensuring a safer, more effective approach for patients with degenerative spinal conditions. Check out this article by Dr. Shigeto Hiratsuka, Dr. Katsuyuki Sasaki, Dr. Nodoka Manabe, and Dr. Takeshi Kaneko on their approach and the benefits of the Mult-e Portal approach. Let’s shape the future of minimally invasive surgery together. #elliquence #endoscopicspine #endoscopy #Multeportal #MALIF #SpineSurgery #Innovation #lessismore
