He passed away on August 1st, 2023, exactly 4 years to the day after we celebrated my first ever win at Autobahn indoor kart league, which kicked off the whole Age of Light adventure. Many people think I have tons of sponsorship... I'm disappointed to say that I won't be competing as planned in the FIA RX2e Championship this summer. We were unable to close the sponsorship we needed to support our budget for the season. For those of you who still don't know-- drivers pay for their seats until they get to the very top of the sport. This typically means 6 figure budgets every season plus crash damage, travel fees and training. At Ellysium, we have a number of great partners, but almost no paying sponsors. I have committed to electric motorsport from day one of my career, and have worked tirelessly to support the growth and development of this new area of the sport, because I believe in the innovation, the economical efficiency, and foremost, the parity of materials that prioritize driver talent. Driving the RX2e car with the QEV team was an incredible experience. The materials are top notch, and it's a fantastic platform for young drivers to grow and excel. You can see the smile on my face in this video-- it says it all. I know that when the time is right I'll get the opportunity to put down more laps and take it to the podium in this electric beast. Until then, I wish all the drivers an amazing start to the season in Holjes on July 6th weekend, and a huge thanks to World RX, RX2e and QEV, especially Arne Dirks and Janina Gonzalez Corominas. Sometimes you have to make a change of plans. I am now fully focused on a return to the USA with NITROCROSS, and hope that being in my home country will better support my sponsorship goals.
