About us
One of the hardest things to do is to step outside your self-imposed, imaginary boundary called your comfort zone and take a chance. Like pizza and beer on a Friday night, it’s comforting. We like it. But if you are ready for a change, there’s one thing you must do – dip your toe in uncharted waters. Why? Because old ways will not open new doors. If you want something new, it will require you to do something new. Are build a bridge between today and tomorrow and redefine what is possible? - Jan Johnston Osburn

🚨 I read the below article and while it aims to reassure candidates who are anxiously waiting for a decision, it risks adding more confusion and angst to the frustration that already exists. You may experience many of these and still not get the job offer. It's natural to look for signs of success after an interview, but many factors influence the hiring decision. For Example: False Positives vs. Respectful Communication 📝 Some “positive” signs may simply be a reflection of professional courtesy rather than an indication of success. (Hiring managers outlining next steps, returning emails when you send a thank you, etc.) Unreliable Cues 🤔 Body language can be subjective and misinterpreted. Head nodding and verbal affirmations might mean the interviewer is attentive or simply inexperienced and they do not realize nodding heads signals an alignment of thought when it may not mean that at all. Inexperienced interviewers often introduce language unconsciously or as a standard approach to illustrate potential responsibilities. It doesn’t always mean they see you as the definitive hire. Friendly Conversation 🗣️ When the conversation shifts to a more casual tone, it’s easy to feel confident. But remember, the interviewer might just be setting a relaxed atmosphere, not signaling a job offer. 💡 A More Balanced Perspective: I write this not to add more gloom to your job search. Overthinking things like whether the interview took longer or whether follow-up emails were promptly answered can cause more anxiety, especially when these signs are open to interpretation. Even the most promising signs cannot guarantee a job offer. Instead of overthinking these cues, focus on what you can control: ✅ Don’t put all your eggs in a single basket. Keep on interviewing and don’t slow the process until you know you have an offer in hand. ✅ Preparation cannot be overstated. ✅ Nail your opener. ✅ Articulate and demonstrate your unique value. It’s often the candidate who communicates their value the best. The most qualified person does not always get the offer. ✨ Your Value Isn’t Defined by One Interview ✨ A single interview doesn’t determine your worth. Hiring decisions are influenced by many factors beyond your control. Keep pushing forward — the right opportunity will come along! 💪🚀 #JobSearch #InterviewTips #CareerAdvice #Interviewing #hiring

For many of us, a significant portion of our lives is spent at work—over 90,000 hours, in fact, over a lifetime. The question is: Are we simply clocking in, or are we building something that lasts? Wayne Dyer famously asked, ‘Have you really lived 10,000 or more days, or have you lived one day 10,000 or more times?’ Our lives and careers intersect, and when they aren't aligned, we risk feeling out of sync. It's a powerful reminder to be aware, be in the moment, and be intentional, because those 90,000 hours are a major part of our life. #career #motivation #work #mindset #goals #intention #success

What's Your Story? When I was studying in the UK, one of my professors had a habit of asking, "What's your story?" On the first meet and greet, he said, "Jan, what's your story?" At the time, I found the phrase funny. I was more used to hearing something like, "Can you introduce yourself?" Through the years, I've come to love that question. It invites reflection. It is simple, yet profound. It challenges us to consider the journey we've been on and the moments that shaped us. And the answer is never the same twice—because we’re constantly growing, learning, and evolving. Make no mistake: Everyone has a story. Everyone. But in a world of hustle and bustle and grit and grind, we forget to ask, “What’s your story?” The next time you ask someone about their “story,” you might be surprised by what you learn. #storytelling #introductions #networking #growth #shareyourstory #whatsyourstory #empowerment #empower365solutions #empower365 #reflection #career #growth

Imagine waking up to a new day, filled with unseen possibilities. One of the hardest things we can do is to step outside of our self-imposed, imaginary boundary called our comfort zone. It’s like pizza and beer of a Friday night. We like it. It feels good. And, sometimes, we need the safe harbor. There is nothing wrong with that. Your comfort zone can be essential for rest and stability. However, we have to recognize when it becomes a hindrance to growth. If you want something new, you have to do something new. Old ways will not open new doors. In that one simple act – the one where you cross that boundary, that’s what empowerment feels like. Trust yourself enough to recognize that you hold the power to change your narrative. You know, we don’t always have to have all the answers right now. But, believe enough in your potential, no matter how unknown or unfamiliar. When you empower your possible, you give yourself permission to grow, and to take action. Perfect moments rarely drop into our lap so sometimes you have to create the moment. The world outside those curtains may be unpredictable, but what isn’t? So, what will you do today to empower your possible? Will you choose courage over fear, action over hesitation? You might be surprised at what is out there. #leadership #motivation #innovation #career #empowerment #mindset #personaldevelopment #fy #fyp #growth
