Since its first burial in 1779, Oakwood Cemetery has accommodated numerous veterans to its hallowed grounds and this past Saturday was an occasion to honor them. Empower AI staff showed up to the site in Falls Church, Va. to place holiday wreaths at graves of veterans as part of the #WreathsAcrossAmerica initiative. Empower AI board member Elaine Duke was honored with a Lifetime Achievement award at the Holiday Hero event hosted by GTSC's Homeland Security Today magazine last evening. The former Deputy Secretary and Acting Secretary of #DHS, she was recognized among #nationalsecurity professionals for being "a relentless warrior for the pursuit of excellence in all aspects of the mission to secure America." At a recent ATARC event on AI in government, our Solution Architect Vladimir Semak observed how closely the presenters’ commentary aligned with Empower AI’s approach to advancing the benefits of AI. A few takeaways: - Data Readiness. GenAI helps agencies ensure their data is prepared for AI applications - Strategic Use of AI. A good starting point is using AI applications to summarize and classify content, and keeping a human in the loop to prevent bias - Data Governance. AI enhances internal data quality, although risk increases with integration with external sources - Collaboration. Ethical transparency must be central to human-AI collaboration - Workforce.
