💡Shaping digitally competent schools 💡 Antonia Clary from our EmpowerED team had the pleasure of hosting a workshop at the Wiener Bildungsfestival together with EdTech Austria's Magdalena G. and Eva Nittmann, engaging educators to validate our roadmap on digitally competent environments. Key challenges discussed included: 🟠 Training gaps for school staff adopting new tech. 🔵 The need to support decision-makers in making smart #EdTech purchases 🟢 Creating national plans involving all key stakeholders to help schools define their own digital needs. Having specialised staff responsible for digitalisation in every school was highlighted as a key requirement for addressing all of these three challenges. As one participant aptly noted: "We need one dedicated specialist at every school who manages digitalisation efforts…someone fully responsible for overseeing digitalisation, organising professional development, and ensuring these efforts are well-structured and implemented."
