Empowered, Ltd. had the opportunity to work with CHAC Gallery Denver to honor an incredible woman, Lucille Ruibal Rivera as their first legacy honoree at their Mariposa Gala. More than ever we need role models who envision a future of community, compassion, service, and love. Lucille embodied that and even though we didn't have the opportunity to know Lucille, she still had an impact on us. Empowered, Ltd. would like to congratulate CHAC Gallery-Denver on hosting a successful inaugural Mariposa Gala: Life, Death, and Art. The evening highlighted CHAC's history, its artists, volunteers, and legacy honoree Lucille Ruibal Rivera. Empowered would like to thank CHAC for allowing us to be a part of this special night.

Today, we'll be celebrating one of Colorado's oldest Latino arts organizations, the Chicano Humanities and Arts Council (CHAC) for their inaugural Mariposa Gala. For 46 years, CHAC has provided space for Chicano and Latino artists in Denver to showcase their work! Tonight, CHAC will honor one of its long-time members Lucille Ruibal Rivera who helped transform the organization into what it is now. Empowered, Ltd. is honored to be a part of this wonderful night celebrating this instrumental cultural organization and its first legacy honoree.
