This #GivingTuesday, I’m proud to announce the launch of the Shared Space Project! Through my work, I’ve come to believe that community engagement is more than a check-the-box activity. It's an opportunity to (re)build trust, listen deeply, and create systems where power is shared. I built Shared Space after sitting in too many rooms where we talked about achieving equitable outcomes without including the people those programs are meant to serve. At the end of the day, everything we do should be about people—and that’s what drives this work. Join me in supporting Shared Space as we transform how we work together to create a fairer future by listening, connecting, and sharing space. What an incredible experience Quinn Parker, CDP was able to be apart of! We can't wait to see what else is in store. #ClimateWeekNYC
Can you be both overwhelmed and inspired? After a week in New York, from #ClimateWeekNYC to #NAESO Annual Conference, yes, I think it is possible. From discussing our global climate crisis to strategies to ensure our most vulnerable communities are prioritized in our beneficial electrification programs, I am overwhelmed by the magnitude of the work that needs to be done but inspired by the commitment, passion, and expertise within the community of people that I had the opportunity to engage with Daphany Rose Sanchez, Ashley Santor, Brent Sitterly, Scott Alan Davis (he, him, his), Maggie Kelley Riggins, Jamal J. Lewis, isaac sevier and Jason S. Trager, Ph.D., just to name a few. Thank you again, Damali Harding, for inviting me to speak at Climate Week; listening to the other panelists opened up a global perspective that I didn't have before. Thank you, NASEO - National Association of State Energy Officials, for inviting me to speak on a panel with Nick Burger, Amy Royden-Bloom, Jordan Bonomo, and Samantha Lamos. Hearing about the innovative work happening in New York illustrated that we need to develop new solutions for multifamily communities. But I can't emphasize enough that we need to develop these solutions in partnership with the community to ensure engagement and adoption; there is no success in a product or solution that doesn't meet the needs of the community being served. Now on to the next one, hopefully I will see some of you in DC next week at the Women of Renewable Industries and Sustainable Energy (WRISE) Leadership Forum. I will be speaking with Pamela Fann, CDP, CDT and Mary C. Palmer on J40, see you there!

This clean energy transition we speak of is happening, and as energy professionals, we all have a role to play. To ensure equitable outcomes for everyone, we must intentionally research, plan, implement, and evaluate programs. We are excited to call ILLUME Advising, LLC, a partner in this work as we support our clients and communities on this journey. This partnership did not happen by chance. It took intention, just like the work we do. If you have a moment, listen to our "Why." Accomplishing the goals we have in front of us will take collaboration and coordination. We are better together!
ILLUME Advising LLC (ILLUME) and ENCOLOR LLC have entered into a strategic partnership.
