Encompass Health and Piedmont leadership, hospital staff and community members recently gathered to celebrate the grand opening of Rehabilitation Hospital of Athens. The 40-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital, a joint venture between Encompass Health and Piedmont, is expected to begin serving patients next month. Encompass Health attended the 2025 International Stroke Conference to share how our organization helps patients recover from stroke or other complex conditions. This conference was an opportunity for clinical experts to share innovative research for advancing stroke related conditions. As a 23-year-old certified nursing assistant and mother, Myra faced a devastating car accident that left her with multiple fractures and internal injuries.
