This morning, I read a quote that said: "Never forget that person who paid your bill when your pocket was empty." That got me thinking about the influential people in my life, at a very young age, who invested in my early career development. Anna Hernandez - the Service Manager at Albertson's, who hired me at 15 years old to sack groceries, and was always willing to give me more hours whenever I asked, so I could buy that new truck. Mike Gelfand - the Owner of Red's Grill, who hired me at 17 and showed me that just because they call it 'work', doesn't mean that it can't be fun. Brenda Hicks - my Area Coach at Pizza Hut who hired me at 19 and promoted me three times in 2 years and showed me that you don't have to have a ton of experience to run a multi-million dollar P&L. These three people met a kid who was grateful, reliable, and ambitious ... and they invested their time and energy into giving me the skills I needed to rapidly advance my income potential at a very young age. I started my first business at 25, and I'm proud of the fact that we do a great job of investing in people who share those very same Core Values.
